I’m so glad I bought a Vario Empire in salmon a couple years ago. If not, this would fit the salmon, nice dress watch very well

Nice review, I ordered the silver one during the sale. Only concern is the reliability of the movement. How’s it been running for you?

Thanks for mentioning the wrist size, so this 38 mm doesn’t seem to be too small looks like.

Nice review. I’m trying to decide if they should have made the minute hand longer (maybe in a v2 someday).

They probably should have. Vario does their Navi jump hour in limited batches, and at least on their last offering, the Popeye version, they had a longer hand so that the ring in it frames the hour window as it passes over it. They'll be coming out with a new release of the Navi soon(tm), and while the prices are somewhat higher than the Merkur offering, the design is just more refined, and the finishing and specs are also considerably superior.

Great dial but case is a let down. Its way to plain. Straight sides and brushing. I think polih would he better with a sculpted lug. I know it would be more but id be willing to pay a bit more.

I think the case is basic by design so as not to distract from the details of the dial
