I just completed a rebuild of my 280 and it has a place it gets hung up on in my pool which is quite curvy. I've tried everything and it goes into backup mode and that pulls it perpetually into the same position to start being stuck all over again.
I have this same issue, right by the stairs, there is a certain spot that if it comes in at the right angle the body hits vs the wheels and it gets stuck, the problem is that it happens every day even if I place it on the other side of the pool, it goes right back to the same spot. thinking a 4 wheel version might solve the problem. ugh.

Hi, could you help to test a backup valve for 280?
I've had my 24 years and it keeps getting stuck
good catch as to diagnosing the problem with the front wheel’s loss of traction.
Nice
Throw $100 worth of parts at it? Wasn't there only one or two components actaully needed for the front wheel rotation?
Good luck getting only the parts you need. That's not how most of these aftermarket things work.
When I was a child I feared that thing
The end tho🤣
My tail never goes that fast whipping.?????????????
Not a very helpful video. You suggest a rebuild, but don’t shown the rebuild.
Mine is a brand new vacuum and it gets stuck anybody else run into something like this?
Don’t waste your money. This model is a piece of shit.
I've had this model for years and it works great.
There has to be something wrong with yours like perhaps hose length?
