Russia having to use smaller vehicles for supply is great. There is an economy of scale to larger vehicles. Using smaller ones increases maintenance costs, labor demands and most importantly fuel consumption. While Russia is awash in crude oil, the same is not true for gasoline and diesel. Russia has not only stopped exporting these but has actually begun importing them.
As an economist, Konstantin from Inside Russia did a really good take on Belousov's appointment earlier on today, basically saying he has no chance exerting cost/price controls on its arms industry.
Sounds to me like putler dismantled power networks inside the defence apparatus (Shoigu just being a titular head) and has brought in a total stranger with no existing defence connections to head off any possibility of a palace coup.
EXACTLY! That's what I have been saying from when the news first broke, but (except for some sympathetic thoughts from Warthog Def) it felt like prophesying in the wilderness.
When you were describing Putin doing stupid shit, I found myself saying out loud, “Well he invaded Ukraine, didn’t he?”❤🇺🇦🇦🇺

@@gerardsmadja1323 i think all countries have some propaganda. I think guys like hitler, stalin, and Mao, take first place, and they have some runner-ups
@@gerardsmadja1323 But, in fact, I have never heard such a glowing report about the interior of Ukraine.
Regarding the helicopter crash. 40 year old helicopter, spare parts embargoed, flying over mountains with 50 metres visible. I think this will fit the accident category of "controlled flight into terrain".
Also, possible. I spoke with a military pilot who was in a crash with that model of helicopter. They are not designed to fly at altitude, the helicopter lost lift, lost altitude and hit a ridge.
Sounds like poor decisions, rather than any conspiracy theories.
God moved the mountain probably.
You are one of the most informed well well-articulated blogs, keep up the Great Work. France
If Russian manufacturing is anything like Soviet manufacturing was, it doesn't matter if Russia makes the components at home. They won't work anyway.
The f16's are going to change the dynamics. The French and the British have said they don't have the same policy as the Americans.
The Ukrainians need to talk to the south Koreans I doubt they would have any such restrictions.
"Putin replaces defence minister with a civilian" ... Which overlooks the fact that Shoigu was also a civilian, despite all his medals and costumes.
Hey, Shoigu was good at cosplaying a top brass in the military, so it's "fake army general" Shoigu, to you!
Wasn't Shoigu the head of emergency situations for years? So he had some experience, the new guy is just a good buddy of the top gangster.
@@B0neTV Yes he was, until 2012 I guess when he became defence minister. But that doesn't mean he has any military experience -- he's still just a civilian who never even served in the military in any capacity.
All the branches of military in the US have someone not in the military running it.

A bit offtopic but congratulations to the Iranian population, the fireworks and celebrations after Raisi's "promotion" show that the demonstrations for democracy and women's rights were not completely in vain.

it's funny how most of the press goes like "russia keeps advancing in the kharkiv region", while when you look at the map they gained a few hundred meters in the last week
More like a couple of years
can't know which channel is true
@@erikriza7165 yes, we can absolutely know which channel is true. there are dozens of sites that offer real time war maps updated with all the social media data posted from the front, and they are all in good agreement. those are reliable.
then we can take the fact that russia is advancing a few football fields every day, that's also a fact.
the fact that most media reads "omg russia is unstoppable" into that is ridiculous.

I agree. It is so stupid to tie Ukraine's hands. What is Biden really so afraid of? The UK, the Baltics and France are not scared. Nor are Poland or Finland!
You're talking about a country that won't even let its own women make their own decisions.

@@chopstixsix802 Sure they are making gains but at a massive cost as Putler could care less of what happens to his country or people . Just wants more land.
It makes a little more sense when you take into account that many of them are violent inmates who are told execution or a chance to earn your freedom on the front. Not to mention the sheer amount of propaganda being pumped throughout their entire society.

The United States has all these conditions for what Ukraine can and can’t do with the weapons we give them but for Israel no conditions.
Hamas doesn't have atomic bombs (or tanks, or artillery etc.).
Ohh so true. A war crime is a war crime in my book.
The US has threatened it would withhold military shipments over Israeli conduct and plans to attack certain areas, specifically Rafah.
There don’t seem to be as many restrictions, at least not publicly, but to say there are none is not true.
I find the parallels between leashing Ukraine and leashing Israel disturbing and very annoying.
The foreign policy of The Mashed Potato.
@@w.reidripley1968 I was afraid the question as to whether or not you found that annoying would never be answered. Glad you cleared that up for me.

Logistics can be a massive problem if the supply lines are disrupted or prevented from functioning. Just think about water, now that it's getting hotter. The average soldier needs say 4 litres a day, more if it's hot weather. simple maths 30 thousand troops 120000 ltrs everyday. It doesn't matter how well the other supplies lines are functioning without enough water an army will fall apart.

Georgie you need to refer your viewers to Konstantin of the "Inside Russia" channel. He just made an entire video on the new Defence Minister in Russia. Basically he says that the new Minister has no support team, Generals are resigning, and the oligarch who owns the military factories has fired the first salvo by doing a media interview which he never does. The new Defence Minister is vulnerable and will be blamed for the failure. It's a very interesting video.
Damn I guess I was one of those that thought he was saying yeah here's some weapons do what you need to damn politicians
Politicians lose wars. Soldiers win them.
Nope. No matter how the war ends. The politician survives 99% of the times. While the soldier dies even if his country wins the war in X years.
Banker and Politicians win wars while Soldiers and Civilians lose them. But at least the civilians aren't so stupid to fight banker wars

Can't US give Ukraine most of the parts to assemble these missiles themselves, so technically they won't be US missiles hitting Russia?
Those Neptune missiles can now be used for ground targets, not just ships. The problem is they can't build them very fast, they are complicated and expensive.
As soon as you open the door to US corporations they want to be in charge. All Ukraine has to do is start losing the war and they will lose interest. In short, stop worrying about what the US wants, while you are still winning.

The media saying that he's Pooputin "Albert spear"??!! Not!!!
Yeah, I doubt this guy would try to apologize for Russia has done.
Many European allies, including nuclear powers UK and France, let Ukraine use weapons on 'military' in Russia. The Baltic/Scandinavian NATO members gave cross-border use much earlier. USA is increasingly out of step with NATO allies who realise giving Russia haven provides Russia benefit whilst denying Ukraine legitimate DEFENSIVE action.

Ok I'll say this: A top economist who couldn't foresee or prevent the economic collapse of the Soviet Union then is not going to help Putler turn russia into profit or turn the production into anything. A "soviet economic genious" means I know more than him about real economic motors.
Good video as always.....I much prefer watching the channels that actually do some research, and wait for facts before they spew half truths and stories from their basement.
There is no confusion. Blinken is Sec. of State and represents President. What he says goes and he said, Ukraine can use them anyway they see fit. Any talk from the Pentagon officials is merely opinion.

Russian economy is in HUGE HUGE PROBLEMS..thats why you got this new "defense minister"..but "everything going according to plan"..no worries guys😂😂😂😂😂
Looks like Belousov continues to "fail upwards" in the ruZZian hierarchy.
But hey, it's better to "fail upwards" than to "fall downwards" through a window, right, Shoigu?
Yeah, but Ukraine's economy is far worse. This war comes down to how long Russia wants their economy to suffer affecting their international prestige as a world power and how long we in the West want to keep Ukraine's abysmal economy afloat. If Ukraine "wins" then neither country will really win with Ukraine ruined for decades and Russia reduced to nothing more than a minor regional power. If Russia wins, their economy is still in the dumpster, but they remain a world power.
Hmmm so because Putin wants to improve the efficiency of his war economy in preparation for a prolonged war, therefore there are "HUGE HUGE PROBLEMS".

I support all your assumptions about the Kharkiv sector. I am more cautious about the new player, the russian Defence Minister, as he is untested in this position and I would not be making any assumptions about his capabilities. If he said somethin like "We should make our own components" he could be referring to the rare materials and electric motors of the drones, which are very simple. Chips are something different, and they source them through other means anyway. If you read about Germany/Third Reich Armaments Minister - Albert Speer you would find that he had little experience in the field but got Germany to maximum production in mid 1944, after their main factories had been destroyed, by parting out to component factories and doing just the final assembly in one place. (Something Ukraine should be doing all the time in these days.) Enjoying the VLog.
Hello folks 🇳🇱❤🇺🇦
hello!
Hello Hamster :)
Thank you for reporting.
As an American, I apologize for my government's terrible handling of these matters as the "supposed leader of the free world." If this administration provided Ukrainians with F-16, , Patriot batteries, ATACM, and Abrams tanks in late 2022 Ukraine would totally have the upper hand, and that many lives could have been spared. Our leaders lack the kind of courage needed to lead out as the "Arsenal of Democracy."
That is a very simplified solution. You can't just take an F16 and fly off. I am sorry to say that I don't think you are American. For some assets, you are right, but don't try to start up the blame game.
It's no good supplying military aid in the summer. It's too late for an advance and the Russians have had time to build defences or launch an attack. The weapons should have been supplied 6 months ago in the winter.
They should have provided them in 2014
Ragnar sorry it’s not as noted a sound and accurate statement. I think you have your priorities mixed up
Really enjoyed your opinion and thoughts... Interesting
Hi my guy 🫡🇺🇦🇺🇲

I hope you are correct.
INSIDE RUSSIA - Konstantin Samoilov - echoes what you say about the Russian economy. It is also a brilliant channel.

As a US citizen who follows our political system closely, I don’t see any likely scenario where the restrictions on the use of USA provided munitions within the internationally recognized borders of Russia to be lifted. Such a move would be seen as reckless.
That said I don’t fault people to complain about it. Most productively would be to argue for investment in Ukrainian based companies for their own domestic materiel though. I believe the USA has already dedicated $2billion or so towards this end?
How about a scheme where the USA or whomever buys Ukrainian produced drones now but with delivery in say 2035? Seems probable that any post war Ukraine which manages to be independent and sovereign will have some of the better drone production in the world in the 2030s. And the drone funding now is priceless. Just a thought.
Just seen another video earlier and the guy in this video said France has given green light for Ukraine to hit targets inside Russia
Good! I hope it's true because somebody had to take the lead on this issue because we, the US, are severely lagging.
It's Military & History in his latest video AND I was somehow wrong-France might permit strikes in Russia. Sorry having given not so correct information.
the U.K already has .. shame the Americans don't want to upset their buddy Putin
If memory serves, it was a French member of the government who said France should begin seriously thinking about giving "green light". There is no green light yet. These are just political "ballons d'essai", you launch a proposal, you see the reactions. It's no small decision. I think both the US and Europe are waiting for some time more, as they have already crossed another "red line" in deciding to send non-armed personnel, and long-range ATACMS, which are playing havoc in Crimea. It seems that there is a "slow and steady escalation" from Europe and the US.
France's Parliament is calling for their weapons to be allowed to strike inside of ruzzia. The Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee says it's time to end the "unacceptable asymmetry" and restore "symmetry in strategic positions"
But they haven't OK'd it just yet, so Torsten was incorrect.
there is an adequate reason imo why ukraine is prohibited from using US weapons on russian territory. that doesnt mean they cant attack with their own weapons, and the best long term solution is for them to manufacture their own long range, which they seem to be working on.
They are working on long range drones
Of course, the US State Department will
say that Ukraine is Not allowed to use
US Equipment across the Border, but
Secretary Blinken was Clear. 😊
"We've not enabled or encouraged
strikes outside of Ukraine, but
ultimately, Ukraine has to make
decisions for itself about how
it's going to conduct this war."
However, it would be Suggested
that the Use is Authenticated in
the form of a Decision taken at
the Highest Level in Ukraine.
