What a terrible shame for those owners, and for Minnie, that this happened. I lost my patterdale Nellie last year aged 12, and she was far, far more reactive than that. She could not have sat quietly in a busy public place or passed other dogs without screeching or attacking. She only had 15 minute walks on a lead at 5am for the last 2 years of her life, having seen 5 behaviourists since she was 2 years old. She also bit a person - I was lucky, he didn't sue me. I adored her and I still grieve for her every day, but it was a relief for all of us when it was finally over. Now of course, I have little Trevor the BT as you know Nick! I hope Minnie can go on to lead a fulfilling and carefully managed life, the owners are clearly sensible and responsible people.

Thank you Susie. Life with dogs isn’t always easy is it? Minnie here was able to return to pretty much normal living, though the police insisted on a muzzle being used in public.
