Good list Adam! Hope you'll consider doing a ranking of Paul Simon's solo career. He is definitely one of the greatest songwriters who ever lived, only behind Dylan in terms of sophistication.

The greatest hits released in the early '70s remains my go-to album for S&G. None of the individual studio albums have really clicked with me. Parsely Sage is probably the one I play the most regularly.

Another great ranking video Adam. BOTW is an absolute masterpiece without a weak song on it and I would also have this as number one on my list. As much as I rate Art Garfunkel's vocals, my enjoyment of their output is primarily due to the quality of songwriting by Paul Simon, who is not far behind Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan for sheer number of stunning melodies, in my opinion.

how cool is it that the albums got better and better? the opposite has been true of many of their contemporaries. despite the fact that my dad played Graceland on repeat when it came out until I developed an aversion to it that persists to this day, I have all the time for S&G. they had a cool harmony going that was their own, and I often hear that harmonic influence in a lot of bands decades later. for instance, Belly's first record made me think of S&G immediately.

The Boxer, Mrs Robinson and America will never fade. I don’t think their songs are dated except WM. 3AM.

I like some of their songs but not so much their albums. They are part of my youth's soundtrack and I know their stuff by heart, but not much of it has aged well. Some hits and some deep cuts never lost their charm.
I never cared for Art Garfunkel. The first two Paul Simon albums are masterpieces, the rest of his catalogue has a song here and there but otherwise I find most of it overrated.
    5. Wednesday Morning 3 AM (Just like the Dylan debut, not yet there)
    4. Bridge Over Troubled Water (Cecilia is still nice, the rest is just...too much, they try everything to sound classic and great and it is so boring...Still not crazy after all these years...)
    3. Bookends (Yes , in their early years, covered America, check it out even if you do not like Yes.)
    2. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (The title song and Dangling Conversation are great but the production "glue" is terrible)
    1. Sounds of Silence (Not a single bad track here, the lean arrangements do them good, almost like Blonde on Blonde, it never gets old. It is their only album I still enjoy listening to as a whole, it is fresh and unambitious and just makes its points.)

PS - Van Morrison while still with Them recorded a great cover of Richard Cory, it fits his angry young voice better than S&G.
