The battery bay is sized to take Radiomaster's 21700 5000mah battery, saying that the battery bay should fit with no wiggle room. I like the radio, i have the first version can't see a reason to upgrade to it though.
Yea I see no reason to upgrade if you already had the v1. The gimbals being interchangeable with the Tx12 and the zorro give you a few options when the pot gimbals start to act up.

nice job. not sure I like the charge in the rear option. Print a new door for the win. Plus a little foam dampening for the battery.
