It has been a long time since I 'clicked' with a brand like that. Makes you believe that there are still some good actors in tech with pure intentions.
been using light phone for over a year and I could talk for hours about all the ways it has positively changed my life. I'm a better mom, teacher, friend, wife and person. thank you
Agreed! lol I dont even have a smart tv. The tv I have now I have a 2nd one just like it brand new in the box for when this one eventually goes out lol
I went all in a year and a half ago. Going light has rekindled my love of songwriting, work, family, spirituality, and swimming. All of these things were dwindling or non-existent before ditching my iPhone.
@@hdtravel1 No thanks, I'll save my money. $300 for a "real phone" that simply makes real phone calls vs. $300/mo for "therapy" seems like a good deal to me. Best therapist ever.
I can't wait for my Light Phone III to get here. I ordered it the week you announced it. I always know it's time to go light when the fear of going light sinks in.
Thank you Light Phone Team! I made the switch from iPhone to Light Phone 2 just about two months ago. Ever since making the switch, I am more present, less distracted, WAY less stressed, and getting more sleep. My wife, kids, and I couldn't be happier with the changes, and I owe so much of this to the features that the Light Phone 2 does not have. I have pre-ordered my Light Phone 3, and am fully behind this important work that you are doing. Keep up the great work!
Had this phone for just over 3 months now and I can't say enough good things about it. As a college student, seeing people's reactions is quite funny but most people seem to understand. This company is just getting started!!!!
I switched from an iPhone to the Light Phone 2 when my kids were 12, 10, and 9 (four years ago). I've been able to be more attentive and present for my family in a critical season of life because of it. I can't thank you enough.
My Light 2 was a game changer - felt so much better during the day and upon waking up. No cringe waiting/fearing notifications. Only phone I use after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends. Looking forward to adding the 3 for work but will always have my 2 for family and friends. Thank you!
@@jeffkent7459 I use the light plan and only share my LP2 number with family and close friends. Never needed for banks or other KYC under guise of 2FA. I need a little more for work phone so will likely put the LP3 on my T-Mobile plan, getting rid of my Apple once and for all. That is the plan.
Not sure why my comment did not register. Sorry. I have the LP2 on a light plan and never use it for KYC under guise of 2FA from banks or other services. The LP3 will replace my iPhone on my T-Mobile plan.
I made the switch a year after the LPII dropped and it has been my sole phone ever since. People were confused why I had paid so much for a device that did so little, and fighting the urge to give the scales-of-economy speech, I just simply explained the ethos. Looking forward to the LPIII.
Thank you lightphone. I have been on the lightphone journey for about a year, and it has been amazing and even life-changing. It is something everyone should try and it helps you to reset dopamine and see the beauty of life again. Now I use my computer + lightphone, and sold my smartphone. It is awesome
I used Light Phone 2 for about 3 years and it changed my life. even though I'm back on iPhone now I still stick to principles I learned while being a Light user. I'll probably go back to Light permanently at some point in the future.
I LOVE my "stupid" Light Phone II ! I bought my first one around this time in 2019. I was able to use a Tracfone SIM card and pay less than $8 a month for FULL service (talk and text). I bought a second Light Phone II for my elderly mother. For some reason, with my newer Light Phone II you can't use a Tracfone SIM card anymore. But, I was able to get a Verizon SIM card for about $10 a month. My mother died last fall at 93 and now I have two Light Phone IIs. Considering my original Light Phone, I have saved so much money being able to get a simple and inexpensive phone plan for my Light Phone II. No $30 - $50 per month (or more) plan. So Happy! : - ) The Light Phone is great for people on a tight budget! I know that as a fact!
Thanks guys. With your mentalities reminding me of what I should truly focus on, I have felt a remarkable change since making the switch. Very excited to have the light phone 3 releasing just around the corner. Even before having it, the shift in how I pay attention to the amount of media I consume has been very noticeable. So instead of thanking you for a product, I thank-you for sharing awareness of a real issue that too many of us have simply just become complacent to.
I pre-ordered my light phone 3 a few weeks ago. Love the light culture. I kinda wish the 3 was e-ink but I get why it’s not. Anyway, I am so addicted to my iPhone, I can’t even think clearly. Looking forward to the transition.
How crazy is it that someone had to form a company to make a phone that doesn't steal your data, your life, and un-commodify you? Clearly the industry doesnt want this trend to succeed, even more a reason to invest and support.

I cant wait to be free from the smartphones influence
I wish it wasn’t 200 dollars, I can’t afford that right now 😢
Interestingly, a light phone won't be able to watch this video😅
Have you improved it?
Does the phone work on its own?
Or only tethered to a real phone?
The Light Phone II and the Light Phone III are both completely standalone phones, sorry for any confusion there
🧐👌
so ready for the LP3 lets go!!!!
cheers!!
you should make it more affordable
Ehh just go No Phone, trust me, waaay better for your health & financials 👌✨
