Watching this episode over again now - as i will watch it over and over again - I, as so many others, find your 'Norwegian mountains' series something truly unique. Living in Norway's countryside and having traveled and hiked - and motorbiked - a lot in Norway, I find that the different episodes in wonderful ways remind me of many recognisable emotions. But more so, your episodes make me see the landscapes (both the pure nature and the cultural aspects) in new ways, bringing new nuances to to my experiences. What a talent! I am very impressed by your sharp eye, capturing the atmosphere provided by the most subtle elements, in addition to collecting the most overwhelming sceneries, off course. It hit me today: What a gift you have, this capacity within, to 'see' and to compose - this incredible capacity for creation of atmosphere. What a talent!.
It is quite humbling to read comments like this, and It is even harder to respond to them. So I just want to say Thank you! I really appreciate it, and it is so damn rewarding and motivating to know that my work is appreciated and enjoyed like this. Thank you 🔥
There's not enough words in the English language to discribe just how stunningly beautiful Norway is. God I ❤️❤️ it. Thank you Thomas for bringing these wonderful video's for us all to enjoy 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you so much mate, and yes! Norway is insanly beautiful 🇳🇴👏🏻 Thank you for taking the time and watch all my little Adventures, really appreciate it 🔥
What an absolute beauty of a video!
In the simplest most poetic way you have illustrated just exactly what it is like and how it feels to be on the bike adventuring. At least you did for me. As I watched this I could smell the air, feel it. I felt every G pulled in those corners. And finally felt the calm and relaxation of days riding at the end. You really transported me. You re-ignited my passion for riding and adventuring, I just want to get out there now!
Thank you!
Wow, thank you my friend 👏🏻🤩 That is quite incredible to hear. I really try to tell the story like I feel it when I'm out riding. Can't wait to get out there again and start a new season. Cheers brother ☕️ Stay safe
Sorry Thomas, but I find myself at a loss for words to appropriately express how your videos hold me prisoner during every second. Thank you for taking me on a fantastic ride to your beautiful country. There seems to be SO MUCH to see in Norway. I got a lump in my throat as least a couple of times while watching.
Your drone footage is EPIC. Your storytelling FLAWLESS. Your video editing and music syncing AMAZING. Between 5:57 to 6:45 and then again between 7:33 to 8:20 you managed to create two moments during which emotions rose up gradually to the edge... and then a pause between... and then gradually back up again. I have had a similar experience but in a different context (LOL!) Bravo til deg sir!
To know that you have touched so many people through your videos with your talent should be the most sincere source of satisfaction for you. This the greatest gift that you can offer to all that have experienced your work. THANK YOU.
Well spoken sir!!
Thank you so much Roger, you know it is hard for me to express my gratitude towards comments and feedback like this. But believe me, this is highly appreciated and so incredible motivating to hear. Just to have the possibility to move people or make people dream with my content is so incredible rewarding. Thank you for taking the time to watch the content, but not only that. The time you take to explain to me how good you think it is. Really something i value high. Thank you 👏🏻
Thomas, sometimes when I watch your videos, I want to write how much inspirational, motivational and how much one can feel it is himself or herself out there, riding the motorcycle through this mesmerizing and beautiful Country, however I simply cannot find any superlative adjective that can relate to your work!! So I simply say brilliant and thank you Thomas for all you share with us!!
I just wish your channel continue to grow more and more so that more people can truly enjoy your content! 👍👍
Wow, thank you Nelio... It is hard for me to describe back how much these comments means to me. To be able to take you all with me on this trip and you enjoy it like you do. Well, that is more than enough for me. I will continue to do what I love and do best, and I just hope that I will continue to make interesting and enjoyable content in the future. 🤩 Thank you so much for this comment Nelio, you know I appreciate it. 🥃
@@tshansen you're welcome Thomas, keep it up, you're doing great! 🍺
Well done sir 👏 so cinematic! You have a very good feeling for cutting your footage to music. Never lingering on a shot too long. And you’re allowing the visuals and the sounds of nature to do the talking, without needing to overly describe it with words. Super high quality stuff! Keep it up 🙌🙌🤟
Thank you so much Leo. Really nice to get comments like this. I really try to capture how i myself feel when I’m riding and focus on the visual and majestic nature that i love so much. I’m really no fan of to much talking and what i only can describe as noise in the background. Cheers ☕️
Another beautiful video Thomas - thank you ! Keep them coming !
Many thanks Matthew 🤩 Glad you enjoyed it. Much more to come 🎥☺️
It’s a pleasure and an honor to watch your videos - thank you so much again 🙏🍀👍🤘
Thank you so much Matthias, so nice to hear this. Appreciate you enjoying the content. Cheers
aaaaa Sognefjellet, my favorite mountain road! Just can't get enough of it and you've captured it so well Thomas! 👍👍👍
Mine too Pål, what a crazy beautiful place it is. So many incredible views and the feeling going over all the bumps. Just epic. 🇳🇴
You've done it again Thomas, taking me with you on another amazing adventure of yours. Thanks for your efforts in sharing with us!!
My pleasure Henrik, really glad you enjoyed this video as well 👏🏻
It’s difficult for me to add further to the comments already made Thomas. I can only add, I’m so grateful that you take the time to make these videos, cheers mate. 🤛😎🤜 The drone views are such a marvellous addition. 👍
Thank you so much mate… you know how much I appreciate it. Really glad that my work get so much praise and enjoyment from across the world. It is quite spectacular 👏🏻
Hello. Mr. Hansen, No matter how many times I see Norway, the scenery is so beautiful that I can't help but sigh. You are spending a luxurious time in the splendid nature.
Hello mr. Masakazu (hope i got that right) Really glad to hear you enjoy these videos. You can probably tell that i really enjoy my time spent in this nature and scenic landscapes. Cheers ☕️
Hi Thomas,
Just a little advice for your next videos!
You'll have to establish a disclaimer at every beginning of the videos of your's, saying something like:
!WARNING!
This video is extremely motivating and inspiring to ADV-Bike-Riders.
Your common sense for daily routine as well as you employment contract
will be highly violated or put to a heavy concept test!
So don't blame me for any long therm efect or consequences...
Something like that!
😉
Needless to say that I was excited as usual!
Ride on safely and keep on making those videos!!!
CU
Hahahaha…. I will take notes of that and see if should flash that on screen in my next production 😂 thank you, that made me laugh. Really glad you enjoyed this mate. Cheers 🍻
@@tshansen
Cheers mate!
Indeed, simply fantastic imagery and storytelling! 👌
Thank you kindly! Appreciate the nice comment 👏🏻
Wow, what a beautiful video and photography Tjommi! loved every second of it. Recognized several parts of it, the cool road down to the bridge close to Vågåmo, the stavkirke in Lom etc. Lom use to have a big country festival each summer, when do we meet up there as hillbilly cowboys Tjommi?! 👀💪🤠🔥🍺🍺🍺😂
Thanks a lot Tjommi 🤩👏🏻 Yeah, I have seen some pictures from your last trip here. But that was with the camper van right? Haha, we should get Rob bring the horses, and you and me can play dress up, chew tobacco and walk around with those boots with stars 😆👀 I bring enough viking champagne so we can all see you dance tjommi 🤣 Skål
@@tshansen 😂 This is the way!
Hi Thomas! You keep stunning us with your unique way of telling a story. Excellent work. Cheers!
Thank you so much Vitor, really crazy that so many people enjoy my work. I really do appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to watch them all. Cheers ☕️
Pure art.
Have driven that rv55 more tan 14 times on a bike. Always in april/may. Have never seen it without snow and think it is even more stunning in summer now I have seen it in your amazing vid. This video is smooth as silk, the way the shots flow together with the audio is superb. Thank you.
This road is absolutely amazing. And it has so much to offer in both directions. So I understand why you have ridden it so many times. Thank you for the nice comment 🤩👏🏻 if you had any idea how much footage I lost this day with my gopro messing up. But I managed to save it with some extra drone shots 🤣🙈
My friend, AN ABSOLUTEL AMAZING FOOTAGE,,,wow, beautiful mountain passes, Norway is indeed BEAUTIFUL! Hope you are doing well and yes you are 👍Enjoy and keep us inspired. Can't wait to ride my first adventure. Godspeed!

Another great episode..!! Love it! Not just the beautiful footage, but also the insight on your life and personal struggles makes it interesting..
Thank you Gert 👏🏻🔥 really appreciate it, i’m trying to be as honest as possible when it comes to this stuff! I want everyone to know it is normal and it goes away just as fast as it comes 😇
What a great movie you made again, the drones images, the music … wish wild camping was allowed in more European countries … look forward to explore Norway later this year 🇳🇴 ❤
thank you mate, yes, I agree... I really would love for more wildcamping down in Europe as well. Glad you liked this episode. Cheers
SAD season is coming to an end, the dark and cold days of winter will soon be a distant memory, the doctor has prescribed 11.49 mins of tshansen Ep05. I’ve just had another shot and am now looking forward to spring, no more winter blues, the T7 is coming out of its winter hibernation and were all looking forwards to the next instalment from our friend Thomas. Cheers 🍻 mate.
Haha, well put my friend. The sad season is soon over, and we can all get our medicine out from winter hibernation. looking out on the sunny weather and dream about a new season. Still -6 and ice here, but soon. really soon. Cheers mate 🍻
Unbelievable scenery, what a beautiful country you live in

Perfect place for a Jack and coke! Great video, great cinema-photography!
That Jack & Coke at the end of this day was so damn good. And just to sit back and enjoy the sounds, wind and sun in the face. Epic 🔥
Best videos about Norway, In my opinion. More trangia cooking :D I even bought one for my self
Thanks! 😃 Really nice to hear that mate. I will do much more Trangia cooking. I really enjoy that my self, so i will try to focus more on it this season 🔥
Fantastic video again. You really do bring back wonderful motorbike memories for me. I remember the campsite in Skjolden and the fantastic road over to Lom and inside the church there. I also remember a lovely bakery at the side of the river in Lom. Thank you for this wonderful video, you capture Norway perfectly. I really feel I was there tonight.
🏍🏍👏👏
Thank you so much Ewen... really glad to hear this. And yes, the famous bakery is still there with insane good buns, but it was closed when I was there (opened later that day) so I continued without eating there this time. I try to always stop and buy a cinnamon bun from that place. 👏🏻
You just keeps nailing it ❤ 8:20 brings me memorys of my Nordkap trip. keep up the epic work.!
Thank you so much mate. Really glad to hear you liked it. Will continue to upload and share my many adventures. Much more to come 🎥

We go without any proyer places to go to (just Bergen) .
So we will see.....
You've an eye for a great shot Thomas 🏞️👌🏻
Thank you mate 😇👏🏻
Superb film Thomas 🎥....a joy to watch. What a fab place to ride and explore...those roads are amazing! And I appreciate all the effort to film the ride by scenes. Thanks for sharing the ride!! Cheers, Steve ps the T7 looks and sounds great
My pleasure Stephen. really glad to hear you enjoyed this. The road over Sognefjellet is just crazy beautiful. Really love this mountain. Cheers mate ☕️
Tusen takk for hyggelig tilbakemelding.
Ahh Thomas such a beautiful adventure. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it Bob 👏🏻 makes me happy to hear you enjoyed it. ☕️
Excellent video Thomas. Your use of the drone was inspirational.
Thank you Shayne, glad you enjoyed this episode 👏🏻 The drone is such a powerful tool when it comes to video. Not sure how I would do it without one 🙈🎥 Cheers ☕️

The time you spend on your videos and editing is off the hook. Great job T-man
I appreciate that mate ☺️ I find it incredible rewarding and motivating to make and share my memories like this. Glad you enjoyed it 🤩
Takk for at du likte innholdet. 👏🏻
Absolutely Love your videos, we have some fantastic scenery here in Ireland, but my goodness that video was unbelievable. Real bucket list stuff for me....... keep em coming
Thank you very much Derek, appreciate the nice comment and there is so much more to come 🤩🎥

Travelling alone gives you sooooo much time to think so natural emotions will be up and down. Takes me a day or two to settle down on trips. Amazing scenery as always!!!!!
So true, it makes a huge difference when it comes to how much you can think and analyse everything. But for me it is also a big part of how i take care of my own mental health and are aware of what is going on in this world. Really glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
Hello 🙋🏻♂️ great episode 😁👌 beautiful views and nice work 🎥
Thank you so much 👍 Lutzifer. Glad you liked it. ☺️
Can't wait to copy some of your techniques......and to someday be as good at it as you are! 😉 It truly is a pleasure to watch your journeys!
That is the spirit mate. This is how it started for me as well, found someone online that inspired me and decided to become just as good or even better if i could. Take whatever you can from my videos and use it to become better in your videos. That is really motivational and inspiring for me to hear. Really glad you enjoy my journeys. Appreciate that a lot. 👏🏻
hi thomas. I follow you from Turkey, I am inspired by your videos, please don't forget to add subtitles 👋
Hello Furkan. Really appreciate the love and support from Turkey my friend. Sorry that i don’t add subtitles on other languages, but that is because the auto translation subtitles on google (youtube) is so good. I hope you know how to put it on. Cheers ☕️

Thank you very much Simon 🔥 Really do appreciate it, and it motivates me a lot to see how much you all enjoy it. Cheers 🥃
Sadly I cannot upload a picture of the place where I am and watching your video right now. I love it
Haha, I'm not sure that is a bad thing 🤣 My guess would be at a local whisky place with something more than great in the glass 🥃 Glad you enjoyed this mate, hope you are doing fine my friend. Cheers 🔥
What an amazing journey among all these beautiful views. Nicely edited and very good choice of music
Thanks a ton Jonas 👏🏻 Appreciate it and really glad to hear you enjoyed this episode. ☕️
We all have those moments of negative and positive vibes. Emotional rollercoasters, but ended making a great video again. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🙋♀️🙋♂️🏍️🏍️
Yeah, I get the impression all of us have these struggles from time to time. And I find it important to show this side as well, not only the beauty. I want people to relate and understand that it is perfectly fine to have days like this, and the next day it is all forgotten 👏🏻 Cheers
@@tshansen I know that people can relate to this feeling and just by watching yours and other video’s on RUclips they will get a smile back on their faces, knowing that it will pass. 👍🏻Here we say: after rain, comes the sun ☀️
Très sympa comme toujours 😊
Thank you so much. Really appreciate it 🇳🇴
Sognefjellet in the begining of september looks much similar to summer than when we rode it in the middle of june 😁. In june everywhere in higher mountain roads was snow and in lakes was ice. Amazing landscapes, I love it 🥰. Cheers with Jack 🥃
That is correct Paul.... in the middle of summer, you will find that the highest mountains here are covered in snow still. So the best time a year to experience the mountain is in late august and September. So nice, and with the colours going orange. Perfect. A jack and coke is never wrong after a day like this 🥃 Cheers
As always a great video. I am eagerly awaiting the start of our next trip to Norway. On May 28th our tour starts in Kristiansand. Three friends, three bikes, three weeks and hopefully lots of good weather... The latter can sometimes be problematic in Norway. Thank you for your inspiring videos. And always have a good and safe journey. Greetings from Germany.

Thank you Captain 🤩 really appreciate it. May is normally really nice weather, but June can be a give or take. you never know but hopefully you get some great weather to enjoy up here. Really glad you enjoy these videos. thank you. Cheers ☕️
Inspiring stuff as always, the shot at 7:58 had me nervous for your done though 😁
Thank you so much mate, haha… yeah, it looked way worse on film than in real life 🙈😂 (that what she said)
Wow
Great video
Thank you very much Luci
perfekt as always. for followers who watch all your videos the series are great. maybe you could start of with a “on the previous episode” and then show a few highlights as an intro. but nevertheless, your videos are wanting me to come back to norway for a third time! 😍
That's a great idea, something I will consider in upcoming productions. This series is made as a whole video. I just chose to upload it as episodes as well, but I had the initial plan to just make a long video of it. That is the reason every day start without any fuss because I plan to just stick it together, fine tune it and make one long video of it all as well when everything is done. Cheers
Tittade på denna videon, visade min fru.
Se vad härligt..
Ge mig 2veckor.

Insanely good filming and editing, Thomas!! In my opinion your best video so far! 🤩🤟
A tip - next time you are in the Vågåmo-Lom area - if you haven't already, try Jotvegen that goes along Otta a bit higher in the hillside. A nice, kind of woopy gravel road.
Thank you so much Tor, that means a lot! 🤩 Is that the road where you come to the gate in that little hill before the farm? The one that goes from Vågåmo towards Lom on the north side of the Otta? I have ridden here before, but that is a couple of years ago. Great tip, forgot about that one. 👏🏻
@@tshansen yep, that's the one.
amazing video, amazing music!!
Glad you enjoyed it and really glad to hear i manage to put the right music in this video. That is without a doubt the hardest part. 👏🏻
@@tshansen you have your own character on editing and you are doing a great job.that is the most important!
@@kalamatianos28 Thank you, really glad to hear that. Can be hard to have own signature or way of doing this. So many are doing such a great job and to be able to stand out in the crowd is always nice. Thank you
Yet another thoroughly enjoyable video of your beautiful country ! Bit random and relates to one of your other videos but if you get the time could you show us how you sharpen your knives and axes? Cheers Thomas, keep er lit ✊🏻
Thank you David. This is a great suggestion and something I should manage to include in a upcoming video 👏🏻 Cheers
the video I needed at the end of this fucking Monday. Thank you.
Hahaha, you are welcome my friend. I know to well about Mondays like that. Can't wait for a new season and take my bike out again. Cheers 🔥
My ride last year😍😍😍😍😍😍
You had a great time I can only imagine 👏🏻🤩
One might think you went overboard with the color grading at 00:03:00 .
But Norway *does* actually look beautiful like that 🥰
Haha, the crazy part is that I had to desaturate it a little in post. Because it looked to unreal. But like you say, it truly look like this sometimes. 🤩👏🏻 Cheers
6:40 😮👍
I totally understand how you feel. I feel that way sometimes before I even leave on a trip. But we have to go, I think it makes us better people. I’m enjoying the series, excellent video and background music!. Ride safe my friend. Cheers from 🇺🇸. How are you liking the exhaust, I’m thinking about getting one for my T7.
I have it like that as well.. you spend days on out planing, looking forward to the next trip, and when the day finally comes, you start second guessing our feel like you should not leave. I don't understand why it is like this, but 1 hour after you start, everything is forgotten. And I agree with you, it makes us better people, and maybe reminds us why it is important to go back home as well? Not sure, but it is an interesting topic I never hear anyone speak of. Really glad you enjoy this seires mate, appreciate that. Cheers!
I really love this exhaust. It is cheap like nothing else, and it looks good, sounds good and you can afford to drop the bike on it without crying 🤣
8:55👍
Another excellent video - I'm enjoying following your trip. What tent do you have? It looks good.
Thank you Scotty... I have a tent from Helsport called Reinsfjell Pro 3. I have made a separate vidoeo just about that tent. 🔥
This series has been stunning so far. Absolutely beautiful sceneries and views.
What time of year was this? I would love to go to Norway once on my bike but usually only have the time around September.
Thank you Charles. This day was 2. September in 2022 👏🏻 So September is a great month to visit norway 🇳🇴
Brilliant again thank you. When your sitting outside your tent at the end it looks so relaxing and it would seem like total bliss.what is the name and make of your tent?you may have told me before. Thanks again for an epic ride.Oh and how you liking the t7 at this stage?
Thank you Derrick. Yeah, it is small moments like this that completes the trip in so many ways. The tent is from a manufacturer called HelSport, and the tent is called Reinsfjell Pro 3. I absolutely love the World Raid. Perfect adventure bike for my needs.
3:03 🕒😻⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Again a cinematic video. Great images, great editing and great music.
How much time do you need for the shots with drone and camera on the roadside?
Think that's very time-consuming, but worth it!
Sognefjellet is one of the most beautiful roads.
We had 2020 unfortunately storm and rain and have then spent a night at the top of the glacier hotel.
Do you use a fixed FPS rate on the DJI Action 3?
Depends mate, how much time it takes is really up to what equipment you use, if you have a good workflow and how much you enjoy it. I never monitor how much time it takes, it is all part of the trip for me, i really enjoy it. Sognefjellet is really beautiful and highly recommended. I Normally shoot with 25FPS on my DJI ACTION 3, but i can change it up to 50 or 100 fps if i want to slow things down.
@@tshansen Thank you very much for the fast answer!
I noticed that you used a ground tent on this trip. Do you prefer it over the Amok hammock? Or is it situational dependent on where you are camping? I ask because I live with a similar climate here in Alaska, and am looking for a lightweight camping kit for my new DRZ 400. Great video content (topically and compositional) as usual. It looks like you had great weather on this trip.
Hello Søren 🤩 Yes, because i was going on a trip late in season and up in the mountains i know that there could be difficulties to hang a hammock. And it is much easier to keep warm inside a tent when the temp drops below 5 degrees. So i would say for me, it is really situational. I was really lucky with the weather on this trip as well. I have really luck on my side when i do these adventures. By the looks of it. Cheers
Incredible as usual. When did you make this trip (season) ?
