"MOST DEFINITELY THE BEST RIDE"..Chris, how could you tire of riding such a scenic coastal route as The Great Ocean Road, I envy your lifestyle, I met an Aussie whilst on a ride through Wales in the UK this weekend, he was here taking an extreme off road course and taking in our beautiful scenic Welsh landscapes, we were chatting about the terrible weather you have had across Australia, and the floods and devastation it leaves, our flood levels are getting higher but we don't have the added dangers such as crocs swimming around in it,... That Tree Top Walk looked very familiar, was it used for the UK TV series "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" ? ... anyway, another great episode, Look forward to the next.
I never spend enough time exploring the towns and attractions around the Great Ocean Road. Although the last time I tried to do that, it was bucketing down rain, so I cancelled the ride. Hopefully will have better weather the next time I go down that way.
I recognized most of that ride from my trip from the states in April 2023. Did not do the treetop walk. I spent 3 days on the GOR taking many pics with my Sony A6000 camera. Plus a bunch on my IPhone. Ate lunch in Port Campbell and luckily no pull over to breathalyzer. Another great vid as usual. Questionable of what one likes in riding as to whether the GOR is the best motorcycle road. The scenery is nice, the curves are okay, but too much traffic and can't push the speed to get super excitement out of them. The exciting runs are like the Black Spur and other roads northeast of Melbourne that I did.
yep. best roads here. i live one town west from forest and always enjoy a day ride through the hills. lockdowns were the best with no tourists on the roads, just wallabies and deer.
Thanks for sharing your journey, however, and my comment, criticism, call it what you will and many, if not not most vloggers are guilty of featuring themselves more than they feature where they are riding or situated.
yes understand and agree.. this one was all a bit of a rush and not planned.. didnt even think i may have made anything out of it.. will get better thanks for your feedback always learning...
Great Ocean Road is a good ride even though it rained the day i did it, the rain forest area near Lavers Hill is nice to ride through,
