KRX50, you're missing the point. Discrimination against people based on the most superficial things (like hair colour) is supposed to be so ridiculous that it makes prejudice look absurd. The fact that they use Cartman for their ginger-themed subplots gives you a good idea how they feel about it. Cartman's not a role model, in case that wasn't clear.

We like to think Trey and Stone are enlightened and brilliant, but in truth some of their ides are based in their own old fashion prejudices. I have no idea where the whole "Gingers are somehow different" thing came from. WAS it South park? Because that's pretty terrible. However whether it's the show's fault or people in general's fault is probably important to know. I hope it at least taught Parker and Stone that people are dumb and they should be careful what they start. They should do another episode to retaliate what they inadvertently started. Like... I dunno. Not an apology or something stupid like that. But like satirise the stupidity of people enforcing stupid things or something. Or that red hair gives you super powers or something. I dunno. This was NEVER a thing when I was a kid and now suddenly, apparently it's something that's "Been around forever". (up until a few years ago I'd never even heard of calling some-one a "ginger") Oh and no, I am not a red head.
They've done several episodes on the stupidity of people jumping on whats popular. Look up Raising the bar and Britney's new look to name a few. They've essentially acknowledged how stupid and low people can get when Media is involved.
