Definitely agree with Geo on this The quality of players brought in for a club like ours was fantastic The fact that the manager Sullivan appointed can’t get a tune out of them isn’t Tim’s problem
@@HammersChat Does Sullivan get in a top coach who can get these good players playing or stick with Lopetegui & dismantle the squad 😞 I know what I would do ⚒COYI
100% agree with everything Geo said on Tim. Done his job. Unfortunately, he has come to a club that isn't run properly and won't be under the current owner. The role he expected, he has done with his hands tied behind his back. He can easily walk away with his head and reputation held high
Time after time we are having the same issues, Sullivan's poor choice in managers is apparent, no way did Steidten pick Loppy, but Steidten will get the blame for this failure! We are toxic from top to bottom.
Let’s say for a moment Steidten was forced to accept Lopetegui, I’m sure he like most of us put that thought away and fully got behind our new manager , with hope passion and expectation. You have to agree that after about 6 games alarm bells went off , to the extent that a huge part of the fan base now rate him as a conman , incapable of managing a league 1 team . How would you feel if you were in Stedten’s position knowing that 6 months ago you listed Amorim and Hurzeler as the managers best suited to take this club forward , but now have to tolerate the inept Lopetegui instead ?????
But surely that is what teamwork is all about , swallowing your pride to benefit the club . Sadly , 90 min later, after Chelsea made us look like a league 2 team , Steidten , like most realized what a shit Lopetegui was as a manager and decided to use the flush lever . But give him the credit for trying to make it work .
Sullivan throwing Tim under the bus, Tim throwing Floppy under the bus, is the kit man in line to get a scathing tweet about him from Jlo? All sounds wonderfully toxic
I think no matter what steidten will walk away without any reputational damage. We all know that many of the professionals in the football industry think that Sullivan is a joke. No risk for Tim in this situation unfortunately
It could be argued that Steidten is doing exactly what he was brought in to do. If the aim was for him to bring in players for Lopetegui, then what would be the point? You may as well have stuck with a manager model rather than a TD / Head coach model. Steiden's job as I see it is not to bring in players that suit the head coach, it's to bring in players that suit the club and its vision on how they want to play. Its supposed to bring consistency irrespective of who the manager is. Your supposed to hire a coach that also aligns with the clubs vision so if, as it seems, choosing the coach wasn't his remit, it's not on him. You could legitimately argue that the players he's brought in aren't a high enough calibre, or that they don't match the clubs desired style of play of there's any evidence for that, but If Steidten has bought players for a manager we don't have, thats Sullivan's fault for hiring the wrong manager. It seems Sullivan has told Steidten to go and buy the parts to build us a Ferrari, and then Sullivan has gone out and hired a head coach who only knows how to ride a bike to be the driver.
I would be shocked if anyone in football takes people failing at West Ham with any degree of shock. We are a joke, we are run like a joke and everyone knows Sullivan’s character, and I’m sure no one is surprised when people fall trying to work under Sullivan. Steidten has got nothing to worry about.
I am inclined to agree with Geo appraisal of Steiden accredited value. It is that reputation, that is worrying, regarding, say, an Arsenal approach to being potentially likely. This would be a loss to WH, and it is down to Sullivan to back Steiden, and not Lopo, given who would be the bigger loss. Sullivan needs to swallow his pride, and bale himself out, with Lopo the sacrificial lamb.
Totally disagree about Potter Harry, if he was that good then why has he had a lot of speculation but no firm offers in over eighteen months. I know he is still being paid by Chelsea but if he has been offered jobs but sitting back taking the money without having to do anything then for me he’s not the manager we need. I want someone with drive and ambition.
Steidten hasn’t picked most of the players and the Villa DOF mugged him off in the Duran negotiations by my reckoning. Kilman, Roddy, Soler - Lopi signings. Summerville, AWB - Sullivan signings. Todibo, Guillerme, Fulkrug - Tim (and all overpriced/other than Guillerme not exactly talent identification/the pearl diving we were apparently getting. What’s the point of having a DOF if he’s not allowed to appoint the manager and then go and get the players for the manager he’s brought in… shambles
Sullivan and Brady hired him because he was a lovely man they liked he’s passion nothing was mentioned about his style of play listen to her interview 😂
Not sure how Tim can force the manager out? Players were clearly bought by the manger and then Tim. Tim bought a player for the future and people are saying what we doing with him. Have no idea if Tim is any good or not but the problem is the chairman and then the manager surely?
Pretty much spot on. 2 and a half months to go out and build a whole new team (thanks to the hole we were left) for a Manager you don't yet know the identity of, or then barely know. Not sure what the chances of doing that successfully is below 50% for certain. Who would be stupid enough to enable that scenario oh yeah the guy who has done it for the past ten years +.
We are concerned about Sullivan having too much say over transfers because if he gets it wrong the club suffers. The same must be true of any other single point of failure. What qualifies Steitden to have a monopoly view in appointing managers? The main reason for the system of appointing a director of football is continuity. The disruption that occurs when a manager is changed is reduced. The manager is just a coach and has less say in picking players. So when the manager leaves there will be less turnover in staff as a result. This system does have its drawbacks. It can tie the hands of a manager who has momentum and is making progress if his view differs from that of the sporting director. It is certainly not an advantage to replace one dictatorship (of the manager) with another one (the sporting director). The problem seems to be that there is not general agreement on what the division of responsibility should be. If the manager does everything the buck stops there. If the Sporting director chooses the players and the manager and the team does not perform, how do you distinguish between the responsibility of the manager, and the responsibility of the sporting director?
Thank you for your show & comments.Yes,once again we have been sabotaged from within!Namely a Pratt by the name of Sullivan.Who clearly when it comes to moving our great club forward!Doesn’t know shit from clay!COYI⚒️
I am unsure how tarnished anyone's reputation is at West Ham given Sullivan's 10+ year tenure. His reputation alone precedes him and is a caveat to any and all woes at the club. Nothing changes long-term until we are rid of him.
I think Tim is probably the only guy who is doing his job properly. Sullivan needs to back away and let Tim and Jlo get the players they want in. But Jlo needs to do better with the players he has. It's not been good enough. Just because a manager has a certain style, he wants to play. If you don't have the players to do that, then you need to change your game plan.
Lopetegui's West Ham is like a Frankenstein monster. Some excellent individual parts, generally decent standard throughout, but no coherence and pulling in different directions. I just want a manager who'll play the players in their best positions ffs...
If Steidten is buying players for the wrong head coach, which head coach/manager could work with our midfield? The only attacking midfielder we have is Soucek! We have no play maker, no one with pace, no one who can hold the ball and pick that pass, we have not one single midfielder who can work some magic and run at defenders, with pace. Yes, I include Paqueta in that! So, whos fault is it?
I hope Gonzo is right, and I hope he's wrong: Steidten needs to be in control as the Tech/sporting director and I hope this happens. He needs to have the chance to create a squad over several windows for a coach of his choice. Everyone needs to be on the same page. Sullivan needs to sit back and watch, accept that it will take time, there will be mistakes and that is a normal part of the process. Instant success is not something that often lasts. We should be heading towards the Brighton model, not the Sullivan model. I do believe that Steidten will be here next season, that JL, Paqueta and Kudus won't. And that's good. Kudus will finance younger players, who knows perhaps a forward and a midfield #10 with an engine...
NO ONE WANTED LOPETEGUI Arsenal will snap up Tim S and shake Sullivan's hand. Thank you very much!!!! Also Rice put a word in for Kudus to go too. Another Sullivan fcuk up
I agree with Geo's perspective on this issue. You guys are #1 for me, but I think there's a risk in endorsing conspiracy theories without evidence and that may be due to the pressures of having to turn out regular content. Like Geo, I think Tim is doing his best to be professional in a very un-professional environment.
Tbf we will often say we disagree with reports X, Y and Z, same with transfer rumours. Harry asked the questions, I just don’t necessarily agree but happy to discuss it.
@@HammersChat You do indeed mate, and that's one of the reasons I rate you guys so highly. With regard to Tim's reply to TNT (after they hijacked him with that question) I would say what was he supposed to say? Any kind of negative or non-commital response would have been blown into a massive story. It would have had huge negative impact on the club, the manager and the squad. I think it was a classic case of 'taking one for the team'.
I’d suggest he didn’t need to do the interview - the requirement is for the manager and players, not the technical director - and once he decided he fancied it, surely he’d expect that question to come up.
@@HammersChat Hmmm, don't know mate. He was probably flattered to be asked for an interview (did he have time to go away and think about it?). I wouldn't have expected that question, but maybe he should, who knows?
Remember those heady days when Steidten joined and we were all excited because we would be having a head coach NOT a manager. How great Steidten was and his recruitment skills would mean that we would build a great squad that would negate the "manager issues"... Now we see a pretty heavy Steidten squad and a head coach who cannot get the players working together. Is that recruitment or is it tactics? I feel that there is such a confusion of who is actually to blame for the start of the season. Players are not performing well OR playing as a team, Lopetegui struggling to get the players performing, Steidten signed x number of players who aren't performing. I can see Steidten being gone before Lopetegui!
We just someone who can get the team playing with a system and all the players in there best positions. All knowing their jobs and all on the same page! I like Potter even if temporary till the end of the season
Everyone is throwing Everyone else under busses , no one is singing from the same hymn sheet, all a big west ham eton mess. All we know it ain't being sorted any time soon
Nothing like a harmonious working relationship all pulling in the same direction!. This is why we are going nowhere and all the owners singing off the same hymn sheet are building successful teams. The sad thing is Sullivan can't see it or cotton on to how the successful teams do it.
It's never going to work with Sullivan in charge. Do we believe that Tim nearly had Amorin and Duran? Sullivan will always go for the cheapest option not necessarily the best. Tim really has no say at all.
I think Tim is unintentionally throwing him under the bus... I think Tim has been good as schmoozing incoming players but has made some very poor decisions to aid management below him. Obviously I can't say 100% who's picking each player we've bought but.... I think overall our business has been scattergun and with no overall plan to create a squad
Its really difficult to judget Tim because he didn't choose the majority of the players and its more Sullivan. He got 3 players, which i dont think these were against Lopetgui's system and its also tough because Loppy is just a terrible manager that even our exsiting players look crap. So the bigger picture is why are we even looking at Steiden, its Sullivan recruiting Lopy and still taking transfers, its ridiculous! We will never get a decent or up and coming manager with Sullivan.
Sullivan, Steitden and Lopetegui. Of the three, there is an argument to be made that Sullivan is actually the most competent, which isn’t great going forward.
How on earth have you come to that conclusion? I'm not having a dig, just genuinely interested. I have NEVER heard Sullivan and competent in the same sentence...
wow, who would rather leave Lopetegui or Steidten, You could say that Lopetegui is setting the team badly so that Steidten leave's and Lopetegui becomes a full time MANAGER.
The more news that comes out from Sullivan and steidten the more I’m feeling sorry for jLo and want to give him more time I don’t think he’s as bad as what we’ve seen so far I just think he’s dealing with a midfield that can’t run and no no9.
Moyes was probably Sullivan's ideal manager and neither of them wanted Steidten. It's a mess at the top of the club and we will only suffer more mediocrity for the forseeable
You would of thought that loppy would of sat down with steiden and said heres my top 5 picks for a cdm,go get one .but it seems steiden gets the players and loppy dont want and wont use them . Bring back earthy ffs
Why employ Tim when there is no real intent to believe in the process. Sullivan plays with our club like it’s a toy & as a control freak that he is will take successes, yet if you don’t play ball he throws you under the bus. I’m watching West Ham 50 years & I’m finding all this hard to stomach. It’s Sullivan, the poison trickles down. Shame.
I don't think that Steidten doesnt like Lopetegui, imho Steidten is seeing the game as us fans do on a matchday, in the fact that he has provided these quality players, but 6months down the line see the manager hasn't a clue what to do with them. There is also 2 big differences here, Steidten has provided a load of Quality forward thinking players, but if you have a backward thinking head coach/manager/dinosaur then its pretty obvious this mix is going to crash and burn. You can't have young attacking talent and expect them to stifle their progression by playing dinosaur football in this day and age. Sullivan has fucked this up by employing a high risk dinosaur gamble in Lopetegui, hence the performances, results. Wee need an aggressive forward think thinking coach/manager to let these players play the way they want, to gel the team and give us bk our identity, pride andcto fight for each other on the park. I would also say that this is just another cataclysmic aftershock of the Moyes era that left us with no option regards to the size of the overhaul needed within the club. Sullivan couldn't see a bus coming if it hit him in the face regards forward thinking and quality in all departments.
17 mins on ref Identity 👍 Ps tbh I cant see it that difficult to fall out with Moisty very arrogant and tbh Jlo seems that way too His interaction with players seems Nil
Lopetegui cannot even communicate properly with the players. Sullivan of course picked lopetegui there is no question. Ask Salthouse. Tim S. DID NOT WANT LOPETEGUI
The club is full of rot, it's so rotten that you believe an ex-player would improve our rotten performances. we lack true experience all over the club not just the team that lack a leader cause against Everton Bowen couldn't get a shot until 44 minutes as our captain, our top goal scorer, as our top assist maker. I would really prefer you call it as it really is and stop blaming Sullivan for putting his hand in his pocket for whichever player Tim says is good and Loppy can't get a tune out of.
Are you two still pissed from the wedding, Tim signing players for another manager when Loppy is there. Apart from Summerville, Wan-Bissaka and Kilman the rest are rubbish. He must have got brown envelopes signing that forward from his old club and a Brazilian for the future £25ml, we need players now, we are not City. That boy should go home to his mum. Three midfielders that can't run and like cards and Todibo not strong enough to start. He lost the window, what reputation. I'm not a Loppy fan but the best manager in the the world would struggle with that lot, three forwards 100 years old, one crocked bent deal last seen on German tv, no midfield and a defence that let's in goals. Tim should first out the door let Noble do the signings .

Geo the baker would know exactly what ingredients he needed 😉
I think Tim is unintentionally throwing him under the bus... I think Tim has been good as schmoozing incoming players but has made some very poor decisions to aid management below him.
Obviously I can't say 100% who's picking each player we've bought but.... I think overall our business has been scattergun and with no overall plan to create a squad
Agree with all of this and I think we can have a really good guess at ‘who chose who’ in regards to signings
I only click for a laugh and West Ham never fails to make me laugh 😂😂😂
Do you think Tim put Alvarez and Kudus up to getting sent off to make floppy’s job harder.
No mate, not at all. I think Kudus lost his head and Alvarez has always been risking a ref but Moyes used to sub him, imo anyway.
If he didn’t pick Lopetegui what makes people think he’s gonna chose the manager?
Maybe just maybe now Sullivan will realise he cocked up
Nobody does, I don’t think?
I also never believed he’d pick Moyes replacement though.
Never wait for a bus with Streiden in the que 😂😂
Silkworm will pick next manager
Moyes was probably Sullivan's ideal manager and neither of them wanted Steidten. It's a mess at the top of the club and we will only suffer more mediocrity for the forseeable
It is not possible because Moyes took the bus with him.
There's no way you'll get goose eggs in LIDL.
17 mins on ref Identity 👍
Ps tbh I cant see it that difficult to fall out with Moisty very arrogant and tbh Jlo seems that way too
His interaction with players seems Nil
Why can't Kretinsky see what's happening and do nothing!
Do you guys know what you are taking about david Sullivan is the one to blame
So we don’t know what we are talking about but you also think the same thing?
So that means….you don’t think you know what you are talking about?
The Fullkrug and Guilherme signings is what will cost Tim his job. Dinos was a bad signing also.
How is Tim throwing himunder the bus?
I believe that Tim Steidten will be off to Arsenal. If he isn't backed by David Sullivan.
Our club is run like a Shite version of Game Of Thrones😩😂
Loppy has blagged this job he’ll be 8m richer for it
Lopetegui cannot even communicate properly with the players. Sullivan of course picked lopetegui there is no question. Ask Salthouse.
Tim S. DID NOT WANT LOPETEGUI
£5 off everyone could pay for zippy gonzo if you win lol
The club is full of rot, it's so rotten that you believe an ex-player would improve our rotten performances. we lack true experience all over the club not just the team that lack a leader cause against Everton Bowen couldn't get a shot until 44 minutes as our captain, our top goal scorer, as our top assist maker.
I would really prefer you call it as it really is and stop blaming Sullivan for putting his hand in his pocket for whichever player Tim says is good and Loppy can't get a tune out of.
Steidten will get run out of Dodge before Lopetegui.
Too much squirrels in this club 🎪
Fans didn't get what they wanted either.
Sullivan is the problem. We cannot get anywhere with him. FACT
Sully the problem, trust in tim
No that's a very unhealthy way of thinking if Stieden has said that, but I doubt hes that unprofessional
We haven’t claimed Steidten said anything?
Remember Geo if you got evidence of your wedding guests watching the game I will donate £50 to the charity of your choice 😉
Nobody watched it, just updates from people etc mate
@ ok lol do you want me to put it in the bucket at the barges then mate
@ no mate, don’t be silly, save your money, please
Obviously Sullivan wouldn't win master chef 😂😂😂
Sullivan is the problem. Has been.
