Wow your father dad is the famous Earle Montague.
I remember reading about him back in the 1980s/1990s.
    I like your series.
I’m glad I found your channel.

You might pay your monthly fees for a lifetime without getting that much detail and precision. He is giving away everything, he holds nothing back. My appreciation and gratitude to the teacher.

This is a spectacularly informative series to release for free, there are certain reputable masters out there that charge hundreds of dollars for an instructional series of this quality. Very impressed by this young master, who clearly has a great future as a teacher.

Great detail is why Erle was such a great teacher & made some of the best videos ever on the market. You do you and ignore the negative Nellies, those types will always be lurking around, and will rarely accomplish anything meaningful for themselves.

Absolutely great to hear your words, and see that you've followed in your father's footsteps. My system has been Chow Gar Tong Long and I learnt directly from Ng Si Kay in HK. I will always remain loyal to my system just as you have to your father. In saying this though I have always been intrigued by Bagua. I hope your development of this art continues to grow as you age. And I can see you are truly passionate in passing on your fathers teachings who I will say was a wonderful master and still is and always will be. Keep doing what you're doing best wishes GC.

Wow, you are a generous and qualified teacher. i am a (yoga, pilates, stretching) teacher myself and love details... I have been also told i give too long explanations, but just like you, i think this is the way to teach and learn really. I just watched a movie with this type of martial art, so i Can't wait to try your art. thank you so much.

      Thanks very much :-)
Yep details are the key, I also like to teach in a way so the person doesn't just do the move but understands the move so they can then teach someone else.
Hope you have fun learning it :-)

Thank you, Sir, for your thoughts on the ultimate martial art. I wish I had understood & applied this 30 years ago, when I was still young and healthy enough to learn and practice. But, alas there isn't much of me left to train.
    Again, thank you.

was a fan of your father. I suggest you to make some video where a professional box fighter punches you. The most negative aspect of the method is and was that is not advertised as real effective. 15 years ago I participated to a stage where someone from your school a vegetarian guy came in Italy. My friend that was a muay thay semi professional was invited to kick him and he was making iron shirt. Amazing, I learned a lot from Montague system, and as wing chun/boxer with 30 years of experience I applied these concepts when I was a fighter. They are pretty solid and impressive, but are not for everyone, this is the cream of the martial arts for who can see it

I’m boxer but in my older age I’m learning tai chi 24 I know about Bagua and I’m attracted to the internal aspect not shore I can brake Boxing habits honestly looking at mixing it in what makes the most sense at a given moment Ive had 40 Boxing matches so a jab is my favorite strike straight line. 2nd favorite is over hand strike 3rd the hook One thing I think about being low and connected to the earth is you can get stuck in the mud being lite on your feet has advantages but you have to come down to earth for power whats really advanced is when you can mix the two Be up moving light then in eye blink ground and land a perfectly timed power strike but there are master like James toney who would be an expert at Bagua but on the flip side is Roy Jones who’s hand and foot speed was so fast it was incredible and his power was insane. I want to learn this Bagua I’m a massage therapist now but the worrier spirit is still in there The paradox of life is so crazy cool you can use the same energy to heal that one would use to hurt the intent is the difference. Actually I think that they go together like two sides to the same coin. Some how they got separated!

You look cool Eli,awesome hand speed & you can see the power in your strikes.love the locations & wow never thought of put a sheet down or blanket with a circle, save me screwing the church hall floor up with some bright paint lmao,TaijiRich

Another thought on the best martial art. It is the one that saves you if you are ever unfortunate enough to lift your hand to an assailant. After this, of course, is the one which conditions your body and mind to where you hopefully will never have to fight at all.

I agree that you must do a lot more than read a book to understand, but they are still very helpful learning tools.
But what's that got to do with a Bagua video?

Hi, I am wondering if Bagua can help people with gluten sensitivity or coeliac disease?
I have alot of sensitivities with foods as an adult that I did not have as a child.
Due to the spiral nature of Bagua do you think it could help with 'relighting' the chakras for healing?
I am so tired of getting nowhere with Western medicine in the UK, I am willing to try anything to heal

    • @taichiworld
      @taichiworld  3 года назад +2

Bagua is a very powerful Qigong healing exercise for sure. I've not looked into it's direct effects on things like food allergies, but since it will generally strengthen your body and energy as well as things like immune system, I'm sure that it would have some good effects for you.
It would definitely help with relighting' the chakras.

Dude basics are building blocks , but without standing and internal work and I mean the circular 5 elements this is only good for aerobic exercise, yes probably could be applied in fighting, but using it like external boxing will be very disappointed for most of the people,if someone wants to be using it like it should be ,at least mention how the energy is generated and the structure of 3 sectors of the body parts, also the principals of rising from the spine to the back brain and getting down to the "heart" , the opening of some channels is a must, also the breathing must be right and some body parts are open and other closed and coordination of feet and hands ,the right way of the upper, middle and root sections , for doing it properly one must be able to rise energy and cultivate it first doing it standing and then try to move with it, just moving without any internal structure and function of energy could be bad for some people who want to practice , please don't hesitate to told how it must be or else many people will make wrong conclusions about it, start with real basics at least 2-3 years only for entering the gate of internal work and open yourself inwardly and outwardly , creation of real energy center is not pure imagination and need inner balance and coordination and conditioning of what is called Yi ,the rising and transformation of the animal energy to upper more clean state is something which make the difference,I have nothing against you and doesn't mean harm or criticizing you, just suggesting that many people have zero knowledge about this art and watching from different perspective their views on "internal" are going in wrong conclusion that isn't that hard to do it or believing in some imaginary ways or consider it useless money making scheme for wannabe Star Wars fens , many people are claiming that art and never ever getting to the basics , just making from this knowledge another cult like fate using bs,90% of those who claims the art can't even stand still as it should be done and no wonder that nobody create real energy center, just thinking or believing and doing the forms isn't enough ,no matter how many years you spend to practice if its wrong never gonna work as it should be, knowing the real fundamentals and building blocks must be told from the start , just these elements are years of training and development, the forms are looking easy and simple , anyone could learn them as ordinary movements, the real treasures of the art are not visible, only the effect could be seen and look fake for those who watch! Give what you know for free and people who have the nerve to try it would not forget you and other gates will be open for you when the need is there!
