    avec un bouclier invisible, avec les mouvements, en accord avec l'environnement, une grande paix intérieure et extérieure, une très grande sérénité. Je suis heureux de voir un grand-Maître de la discipline, et donne envie de suivre cette discipline. Au delà de la gymnastique, j'aimerais voir l'art-martial dans la suite. Awesome demonstrations...this is definitely not the most recommended martial art for self-defense, but still, it can save one's life...it would be a huge mistake to think that it doesn't have any application in real life when someone's life or that of a relative is endangered by a human attacker...for sure these guys would have a higher probability of survival than a normal guy simply sitting and meditating all day long ...the problem is that the "3D-Blinded" generation of this 21st century keeps trying to compare these to Combat sports that have no such thing as "art" in them...combat sports are brutal and certainly not made to look beautiful...but still some people call them "martial arts" and some so-called "masters" keep trying to convince the public opinion that this beautiful art belong to the same category as the modern exhibitions of pure brutality...Boxing, Kick-Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA are sports designed for people looking for personal achievements and glory, while these traditional arts are for people willing to build their spirits, minds and body while being able to defend themselves when necessary, or at least have the courage to face adversity and not run in front of every danger.
    Hope this helps someone get rid of the toxic misunderstanding of this martial art that online videos have made these last few years about "why traditional martial arts no longer work"...

    • @bigm0e89
      @bigm0e89 3 года назад +2

      You definitely build the spirit and mind with muay thai and the others. They just happen to be among some of the most effective combat sports in modern times.
      But I think that anyone who practices those arts could gain from studying arts such as Tai Chi and more.

    • @jonaq2373
      @jonaq2373 3 года назад +1

      @@bigm0e89 yeah, each of these styles have their own purpose, which is why everyone can learn useful stuffs from both....but when I talked about building (body, soul and spirit) I wasn't talking about it in the way that modern combat sports do....combat sports help you develop mental toughness so you can push through your limits, while yraditional martial arts in addition to that incorporate, through the artistic side of their craft (meditations and katas), some spiritual aspects and wisdom which modern combat sports do not even care about...
      Also, muay thai is actually a martial art, but in its popular form nowadays it is mort of a sports than an art.

    • @bigm0e89
      @bigm0e89 3 года назад +1

      @@bigm0e89 yep, sure. I usually train traditional arts for the benefits of meditation and physical wellness...But I also train kickboxing to let go anger and other negative emotions. But Both are also useful for self defense...I love both combat sports and martial arts, which is why I hate this trending belief that one is more "relevant", " useful " or "efficient" in a general sense than the other. One can indeed learn from both and merge them, but it is not ok to compare them because they don't serve the same purpose.

      Are you aware they were created as a way to fight? Yin and yang are both required for tai ji Quan to be effective. Both the combatative and the healing side are essential. It does not mean you go out looking to hurt people but tai ji Quan won't work without its martial premise. I've studied and practiced it for a long time both in Europe and China.

    I see they have a great respect for their Grandmaster.
    I noticed the scrutiny was a reflection of defense versus offense.
    My contention is that, to be successful, when using martial arts, we must focus on ourselves.
    Our defense is only as good as we believe it is.
    He was shown these forms to more adequately establish a beginning and end. These traditions were passed down to represent the protection the monk would provide as the last line of defense or first line of offense. I could see the Grandmaster in the beginning really focusing on his entrance into the void.
    This was great. I was happy to see how eager the disciple was to correct himself in that moment. His resolve persisted despite his internal struggle.

      @@burtonrivera5253 No, truthfully i shouldnt know this but the real secrets are found in the actual practice and devotion. These secrets are personal and sacred. Its what separates the Grandmasters from the teachers. The void, is a realm of shadows. In legend How Pow Pow Oh (the red panda) learned Kung Fu from Grandmastaer Ling Ling (the turtle) by being introduced to the shadow realm. How Pow Pow Oh was taught to fight what he could not see. THEREFORE to enter the void you must become DETACHED from the material realm mentally to embrace the flow that exists continuously outside of time and space. Shaolin and Dao monks are the first line of defense against the shadow that may find there way through portals into the material realm it is the SPECK or the Dao within them that ties there senses to the void as they are unified and connected. Then the body becomes an instrument of the DAO awareness. Not everyone that seeks to practice Shaolin or Dao martial Arts has the Dao. Some will feign endlessly never reaching their true goals because the Dao is not a choice you can choose. It is something that chooses you and you either obey or die trying to do something else. It is the will to live that has kept darkness at bay through the monks who've listened to and devoted themselves to the call. There is a lot more to it than that but this is it in a nutshell. Sun Wukong made a mistake of betraying the heavenly gates and we have been fighting to restore peace ever since.

      When Sun Wukong the Monkey King, was invited into the the heavens, there was trouble....
      ...they say when Sun Wukong struggles against his bonds, the world trembles...
      I hesitate to believe Sun Wukong was evil, then or now.
