Watch how he moves his hands and practice that or watch how he moves his feet and practice that. Take it one little part at a time. One little part and practice that. You can do this!!! ❤️

It’s the same throughout the practice. Look at the beginning, it looks so simple, raising and lowering the arms. There are movements between 6 positions. Part of the joy of practice is to keep noticing more.

The end of learning is the beginning of understanding
We learn one step at a time when we are young
We dance without thinking when we are old

I had some recent injuries and was finding it difficult to exercise but I saw some video of tai chi and thought I’d have a go to my surprise it helped a lot very quickly this one seems to be something I could do to help myself regain strength control and balance therefore it will help with the ones I have been doing thank you very much

Find a class and dive into it! I took up taiji about 25yrs ago to try to heal from a back injury in the Army; after about 6mos the stabbing pains in my legs were gone, and I was almost as flexible as before. Because I kept with it, now at 60 I'm fitter than a lot of guys I see 20yrs my junior, and the only time my back gives me problems is if I do something dumb (like spar with my teen son lol). A journey of a thousand li begins with a single step....take the step!

Very good Master, thank you. For those of us who do not have too much time to practice, one movement helps calm the mind "faster" and pumps up your energy. With all due respect, I practice preparation and beginning just by itself, coming back to the center. By 10 minutes I feel like I am about to take off from the floor, and the body starts to move by itself. I have not found advice on a single movement of the form like this, at least to my recall.

I come with Understanding of all. When you understand masteries, end up with giftedness and you release understanding in the midst of misunderstanding. I also am internally disabled, in the incurable, recovering from the worst internal injury given to me from the whole world, thankyou for your gift of injury.
For you, you begin to now want to understand, for me its resting understanding and have it turn into something else because it wasn't wanted but was rejected by all.
What is missing in Tai chi and everywhere else the absence of care. That care is essential to healing. That which comes out ftom Tai Chi a careless movement, void of healing. The masters in the earth are so rude, too rude can't make time for the disabled or hurting. Can't touch or hold hug or embrace the healing that is needed called life that comes out from understanding.
This exercise I needed another exercise with it, that is with a simple twist leg behind. To do the two exercises together in a rhythm, brought focus. That focus is needed and is missing in the young and at times the aged. It didn't take a thousand steps. If I were to do it 1,000 steps all at once, I will hurt myself. Better to do 1,000 days one exercise at a time for a small amount of time. Slowness is always best for learning and understanding in days and minutes.

A wonderful video Master Gu! Could you possibly explain the step-by-step movements a bit more slowly? I’d really like to practise this one as I can’t move much during the day because of illness and this seems to engage the entire body in a slow but good qi-flowing manner. At the beginning, I have a same your thinking, but after listening the Master Eu said to pay attention to feet, hands, eyes I just recognize that about nature movements of our body.
For example, when you push your hand forward: exhale, your same side feet and hand straight forward like you pushing your car. You may be able to do it in 15 minutes. Of course it is not smoothly like the master, but you don’t need to remember much.
