  • Telemedicine refers to the use of remote technology by licensed health professionals to provide patients with medical services, such as consultations, education, interventions, or treatments, over distances.
Telemedicine is also referred to as concierge medicine or the modern-day house call because it enables providers to deliver care and patients to receive care within the comfort of their homes. Telemedicine is quickly becoming the cost-effective and convenient solution for providing timely medical advice and treatment to the homebound, the sick, or those unable to physically make an in-person visit. This approach makes it easier for those with mobility issues or living in remote areas to access essential medical services.
