Leo: “I like to set up the workout on my watch! 😇 It’s fun and it allows me to count down the reps and-“
Lex: “Ok do it 😡”
I'm 60 years old. My favorite "speed" workout is 30 x 30 seconds hard, with a one minute jog between each. Of course, my "fast" isn't so fast anymore, and my "slow" is a lot slower than you young guys run, but I still really enjoy it. When I do one minute on, one minute off, I do 20 reps, but again my slow jogs are a lot easier.
These are great videos and such fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your awesome adventures. You guys inspired me to start training again. I'm 60. I think I have a 3:30 marathon in me.
You guys are beasts! Keep up the great running and great content!
Hey Lex and Leo! I absolutely love your videos. The content is so great and it's so inspiring. Keep up the great work, guys!
omg i love y’all’s videos sm! keep making great content 😎😎
Nice video. I really enjoyed the different shots along the way as opposed to only the first person view. Keep up the great work!
Wow...the beauty of the Switzerland landscape is amazing!!
I love watching these workout videos, ima a sophomore running distance, and I watch every video, and usually will do the workout (maybe not quite as fast lol😂) keep posting as much as you can. Keep up the great work!👍
I’m ass lol I’m a junior my workouts are like around 7:30-7 😭😭 my first year I regret not doing it earlier
@@jacobmelo5656 at least you started before its too late. you got a full year to improve do your best man!
Could you guys do a video about dealing with the pressures/stresses of running, especially at the level you guys are?
Switzerland 🇨🇭 is definitely a beautiful place. How were the people that live there ? Nice, rude, etc.? Glad you two had a great week. Have a safe trip back. 🙂🏃♂️🏃♂️👍
People here are super nice some aren’t but that’s a small majority. I just got here on vacation
@@david14431 Have a great vacation 👍
What are some of the best workouts to do for cross country going into my junior year here in California and hoping to make state this year what are some good workouts?
Awesome L&L visited Switzerland two weeks ago and enjoyed the trip.
Sehr gutes Video Lex und Leo!
Do you get prescribed workouts during the off season or do you make them yourselves
Once you get to big bear, how often do you do workouts?
Lex: He's trying to make me get shocked by the electric wire
Leo: You don't even know if it's shockable
Lex: No you do it you try
Leo: No I already got shocked on this trip
Lolll
What camera do you use when you’re running?
Good video leo and lex yung
Hey could you show us what kind of stuff you guys like to eat throughout the day?
Which watch do you use? My Garmin kicked the bucket so I’m in need of another one lol
any chance y’all will be at desert twilight this year?
Let’s goo!!
What type of watch do you all wear?
What watch do you use ?
what’s the name of the song they were listen t to
Do you guys have Strava?
Let’s go can wait to see this video can you guys do a video on What gear RUclips race In showing us your school uniform and What you wear to worm up in. Thanks
warm not worm😂
What watches do you guys wear?
Awesome video!
I saw u guys at lax going through customs coming back from Switzerland.
Do you guys do any cross training?
Just curious how many weeks do you do off/ without workouts after track season?
This was their first workout since track and Lex had his last race about a month ago so around 3 weeks
Editing game 📈
great vid btw
Filming the workout while you're doing it must be hard🤣
Nice video! How do you guys determine training run paces?
whats your 5k PR? i might be able to help
@@kriz48 my 5k PR's misleading since it's only 17:40, but my mile PR was when I was in my peak fitness which was 4:33.
how long do you guys typically stay up in big bear for?
Month
What shoes did y’all use for the workout?
Looked like Leo was using Nike Zoom Fly 4 and Lex with On Cloud Monsters
Switzerland does nice clearcuts.
I’ve noticed you guys have done this Fartlek several times, have you ever tried any other types with different length reps?
1on1off is a pretty standard template for fart licks
@@dashielcockrill998 standard template for sure, but no where near the only variation. It’s a very light structure for a workout if you just want to feel good while going fast
@@benanastasoff8980 exactly in summer running most people are just running miles and trying not to lose your speed from track season
@@dashielcockrill998 it is a fair point. But I’m fairly certain they will be doing a number of different variations of speed workouts. Their coach has stated many times that he likes to develop speed at all points in the year
@@benanastasoff8980 ya and when there training with their team I’m sure that’s true
Im like one of the fastes miler in my school with a 5:20 as a sophomore 😢 how do I get faster
what type of watch do y’all use?
Looks like lex has a vivoactive 3
🔥🐐
Lol at the person in the red truck... looked like it drove really close to you
nah not really
Where's Jurg? Driving the camcar, I bet! Great place to run!
did u even watch the video
What is the elevation where you're running at?
I’m not positive where in switzerland this was. I know they were in Zurich at one point, which is about 1400 feet up so I’d say around that
you should try chuckin some warp stabilizer on those homies
i had the same exact workout like 4 days ago lol
Think about when In 4 years all three of the brothers will be competing against each other at the Olympic trials and possibly all 3 make the team… what a year that will be
Man low 14s last year, what are they gonna hit this year?
rewatching the video and just realized you want to take longer strides on downhills because it is easier to maintain speed of strides despite length when going downhill (this nitpicking is a joke)
Are you guys going to Big Bear this summer?
yeah leo said at the start that they’re going soon
1:07
@@declanchen1471 ok thanks
I’m debating between buying the Alphaflys or the streakflys for xc can someone who’s worn both give me some insight on which is better?
Alphaflys are much better for 10k+ distances so between vaporfly and streakfly. I would probably say streakfly because they’re a faster shoe
Ya that’s what I was thinking too, thanks a lot bro
@@joe1877 ofc bro
I would do vaporflys there the best mix of both
Vaporfly’s for sure… the streakfly’s don’t have that carbon fiber plate so if you’re looking to get as much benefit as possible I would go with the vaporfly’s. Streakfly’s are a good training shoe for quicker reps, but I haven’t seen a single pro personally choose the streakfly’s to race in over the alphas or vapors.
How many miles do y’all try to run each week
I think they’re still mid 60s

how do you do a fartlek workout on the watch
You can program reps into garmin. Really simple actually. I do it all the time

Fun fact, this is swizterland green screened and actually shot in so cal
Sub 14 on the XC course this year? I think so
Prob sub 13:30 at woodbridge
@@insanity0854 Not really, Leo ran 13:38 last year and Lex ran a 13:45 5k this season.
What’s the name of the first song?

why are y'all in Switzerland in the first place lol?
vacation bruh
Practice/visit family?
I’m going to Switzerland in a few days and was wondering if it is a safe place to run alone? Anyone know any places to avoid?
It’s definitely safe. Just watch out when you’re running on the road because a lot of the mountain roads do not have a separate lane or sidewalk for bikes or pedestrians, and cars and motorbikes tend to drive fast (since there is not a lot of traffic). Also, be cautious when running in the dark (wear a high-vis jacket and lights or just don’t run when it’s dark) since most roads outside the cities don’t have (a lot of) streetlights. But if you stay on dirt tracks or if you’re running on roads with low traffic you should be just fine :) enjoy your stay in Switzerland!

as a youtuber, I have a recommendation: edit the intro a bit shorter, you can lose a lot of viewers at the beginning if your intro is more than around 10 seconds and I definitely want to see this channel go super viral for the content you've created
it’s worth the wait for them🙄
Bro its not about the views its about sharing their running experience
Hell no, the intro is fire
@@maxwang2562 exactly
i love their intro, even if it’s longer than other intros, it’s better. the music is amazing and the clips they add are fire
I don't understand it! Back in the day I ran fartlek workouts at these paces and never came anywhere near their 5K times! lol like 15:30 is all I could manage!

That is definitely not the US. No trash!
They’ve got trash in Europe. I just spent the past month visiting places like Prague, Vienna, Budapest, and London. A more accurate generalization to make is that people in the countryside don’t litter the same way people in urban environments do
@@benanastasoff8980 Wow! I stand corrected.
@@davidohara7669 you may be surprised to hear that public trash cans aren’t actually a common thing in a lot of European cities compared to the US. There were almost none, in fact, in London. That’s why there was so much trash left around.
