Okay, crackhead idea I came up with 5 minutes ago. During the original story mode, in that scene where Scorpion is locked up and Shang Tsung is convincing Sub-Zero to turn to the dark side, Sub-Zero brings up that he, “Let his father die”. Interesting choice of words there, LET HIM DIE, not KILL HIM. Keep in mind, Bi Han is in full prideful, smug, irredeemable asshole mode right now, he COULD have gone all the way and just claimed he killed his dad, but he explicitly chooses NOT to give himself that honor. Considering Kuai Liang seems shocked by this revelation, whenever the brothers’ dad died, I must have been him and Bi Han alone somewhere. This wording paired with Kaui’s reaction leads me to believe that their dad died from ending up in some kind of precarious situation that Sub-Zero chose not to save him from. Maybe he fell off a cliff and Sub didn’t help him, maybe they were attacked and Sub fled, the exact scenario doesn’t completely matter. My point is, there’s some possibility that Bi-Han only THINKS his father is dead, leaving room for Daddy Sub-Zero to come back and kick his rotten son’s ass. Imagine, if you will, grizzled old man cryomancer with a huge badass beard, all covered in scars from whatever fuckass situation Bi-Han left him in. Kratos from God of War lookin’ ass. I still like the theory i came up with for this timeline, that instead of bi han controlling ice and kuai using fire, but them both controlling temperature as a whole, just in different ways. It would make more sense in how they usually do similar powers for siblings(like the brothers in the past).
I think it might be frost because of her appearance in the havoc dlc where titan havoc says that she is powerful (or something) in most timelines which could be a hint that she’s going to be made playable next or become sub zero or something
Taking MK1-Tanya as an example, "past histories" are more or less not worth considering going forward. As much as I want Kuai Liang back as Sub-Zero, I simply don't see how the story could hold together as its developed and still do that. To me, Frost feels like the most likely contender for the next Sub-Zero, but she probably won't be anything like the Frost we're familiar with.

Plot Twist: Next game Bi-Han manages to control the chaos in him so he can revert back to his old form while still maintaining his Noob Saibot abilities, resulting in a even more powerful Sub-Zero with living ice clones. I say this because Scorpion vs Sub-Zero rivalry has been a mainstay since the start and it has to be maintained in some fashion. Hanzo is still young in this timeline and even if he reaches adulthood and becomes Sub-Zero, he and Kuai Liang would have zero reason to hate each other as they are both Shirai Ryu. They wasted a potential story with Cyber Sub-Zero and Human Smoke, their roles reversed from the original timeline. Same with Dark Raiden, they hyped him up before MK11, only to erase him and bring back his good self. And given the poor reception of female Cyrax and female Sektor, Frost being the new Sub-Zero wouldn't be popular, since she and Bi-Han have the same personality.
Either Frost or Hydro Hopefully Hydro so we can get him in the games now…and we get a new Ice/Electric Sub-Zero Frost makes sense bc of the new gender swaps for the other Lin Kuei members
Bi-Han Says he likes being Noob Saibot but Sektor isn’t going to allow him to stay that way for long and either Sektor herself or an outside force restores Bi-Han back to Sub Zero. Hanzo Being Sub-Zero would be an interesting choice because by keeping an Angry Hanzo using the powers of Cold Fury definitely makes it awesome to contrast Scorpion Kuai Liang. I’m all for a Shirai Ryu Sub Zero 👍
I have a feeling Hanzo may be Sub-Zero this time around, if not another timeline Sub-Zero from one destroyed by Havik, likely one that's a Kuai Liang as well, making for an interesting dynamic between the Cryomancer from Outworld and the Pyromancer from Earthrealm... They're kinda doing the intended story for the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu in this reboot, though, which I like... But Frost is already established, and we know she'll be coming later as a playable with some of Noob's voice clips with General Shao... So We can likely eliminate her... Hydro is a wild card, and who said there isn't another Tundra out there, somewhere?
I would be okay with the pod partially resurrecting Bi-han and giving us the form from his MKA ending. I also wouldn't be surprised if Kaui Liang became Sub-Zero and they gave him Hydro temperature control as his pyro+cyro manipulation.
What if Kuai Liang’s original codename was Hydro instead of Tundra? That way, he wouldn’t be too much like Sub Zero until he takes the Sub Zero mantle after his older brother Bi Han dies and comes back as Noob Saibot. Fire can make water hot and ice can make water cold.
That could happen but I hope that's not the case,Hanzo should become Scorpion after Kuai liang retires or pass down the torch,If we get a new sub zero it should be frost or a kid of kuai liang's
Bi han should have frost as a student in Liu kuei, she can take over Lin kuei after bi han became noob saibot Frost first command Sektor second command
I'd rather give Hydro a chance. Why? Frost had her time in the spotlight and she wanted to be her own cryomancer so to speak. So no rather than yet again have Kuai be Sub Zero for no reason just because I would rather let another character we haven't seen in a very long time take the rains instead.
maybe they will go with the easy way by making hanzo subzero.. or return bihan to his human form🤷♀️ but kuai is the best guess to me and hanzo will take the scorpion mantle and bihan keeps on being noob saibot😌
The problem with Hydro coming back as Subzero is will not be Hydro, but rather another Subzero with water powers. What I can see happening is; Kuai stays as Scorpion and young Hanzo grows up to become Subzero. Or, seeing as how Kuai is a master at taming rage (in Raiden's ending) and how he wants to restore Linkuei's honor (Scorpion's ending), it might be that he has completely rid himself of his rage thereby giving him a total switch in abilities also
Hydro and Frost should return to the series as playable characters - or at least as Kameo (as Frost in MK1). Hanzo could be a good Kameo too btw. and should play an important role in future games.
I had this idea for a time skip within the New Era to showcase some swapped roles and focusing on the further war of the Lin Kuei vs Shirai Ryu. Essentially years later Hanzo Hasashi has fully become the next Scorpion, trained and lived up to the title as Kuai has seemingly disappeared. During these years two new cryomancers have appeared, Hydro and Frost. Frost is with the Lin Kuei and loyal to them but very much so power hungry (optional if she becomes a cyber like in MK11) while Hydro was formerly Lin Kuei, and much like in the original lore a close friend of Bi-Han, who joined the Shirai Ryu. Hydro feels he doesn't know Bi-Han anymore with how corrupted he's become and wishes to help restore him if that's what it means to fight with the Shirai Ryu, a bit similar to Kuai's original journey in Armageddon. As the battle between the clans continues, it is revealed that Kuai has been captured and in the process of being cyberized (maybe fully or half, whatever.) so we'd get the debut of Cyber Scorpion without losing a proper Scorpion (as Hanzo is already there). Maybe Smoke got captured too, who knows. That's just a side note though. The major conflict would be between Hydro and Frost battling over the title of Sub-Zero, as Frost is deemed the "official" succesor due to her allegiance to the Lin Kuei while Hydro has taken the name as a means to pay respect but also cleanse the title, similar to how Kuai used to be Tundra in the old lore.
Kuai should be the new Sub zero after seeing Hanzo's pronital and would give it to him and become Sub zero to rewrite the wrongs and the Lin kuei. Plus maybe after he learns peace, maybe he can try to help Bi-Han with help of Sareena. I know it won't happen but it would be sweet and a good way to honor the original
Hydro should definitely be canonized into the lore. As his abilities would make his combat unique with a mixture or Sub-zero and Rain into less powerful fusion version of them together. Better yet for an idea: Hydro being a successor of Rain, as the next High Mage of Outworld. Yet he came from Earthrealm to master his powers
Yes I agree 1000% get hydro in the series and make him a main roster fighter and in the lore. I don’t know if he is better as human or cyber but just get him in here he would be great to make his debut in MK2 and he is one of the scraped fighters they need to bring back. If we get a convincing part 3 storyline then scorpion can take up the mantle but he should try to get a different apprentice Frost is just out for power and control we need someone who is better then that.
Surely Bi-Han gets purified somehow and becomes Sub Zero again but with some of Noobs powers? Would be a cool way to combine both characters movesets into one character
I think they’d probably go with the safe bet and make Hanzo the new Sub-Zero especially since they keep building him up in intros, maybe they could go the same route where he dies but come back as an ice specter, I think that’d be pretty cool
The interesting way for Kuai Liang to reclaim the mantle is that in MK4, after going maskless to denounce the Lin Kuei and their Cyber Initiative, Kuai Liang decided to wear Bi-Han's costume which is heavily related with the Lin Kuei. His reason? Honor him for his achievements in beating and stalling Shinnok in MK Mythologies. So I guess if he wants to reclaim the Sub-Zero mantle, the reasoning will be similar: Honor the man of the past. His father is a good and easy guess. Plus, in case of 'born pyromancer', there is one easy unused macguffin that could be reused as a way to grant him cryomancy: Dragon Medallion. It can be repurposed in the new timeline to give one man cryomancy power.
There are some options for me: as mentioned by other comments, the Hanzo SubZero would be a no brainer considered the shift with Scorpion. My innovative version would be to have the original name of Kuai Liang but with a new character (Tundra) which is similar to Hydro but with a MK9 known name
It would be cool see hanzo become his own, maybe be trained by kaui and takeda? Leaving hanzos powers up for debate on who trains him the most. I can see him gaining telekinesis powers from takeda and learn both rope spear from kaui and takeda.
It be cool if Kuai Liang gets depowered while Hydro goes around as a Subzero eventually leading becoming Subzero and Hanzo finally being Scorpion and maybe the return of the Tekunin
Frost. Hanzo will be simply Hanzo. An interesting spin would be for Frost to be introduced as the new Sub-Zero BUT be Sektor’s first full cyborg creation and further drive Scorpion’s position to destroy the clan he on Ed hailed from with Frost being recast as their younger sister, and since she was used to be a machine abomination, leading to her redemption and restoration not unlike Cyrax and Smoke in the original timeline.
I have a feeling they’ll do it where QuanChi kills Kawai Lang then Kang gets resurrected as well with ice powers and Hanzo goes into the flying range getting his fire powers
For the Sub-Zero Problem I doubt Frost will take the Mental as Fan would hate it, especially if she’s Genderbended and Because Kuai Liang is both Scorpion and the Head of the Shirai Ryu Clan plus I want Hydro to be a Different Character than being Sub-Zero, either Hanzo becomes Sub-Zero which wouldn’t make sense especially if he’s part of the Shirai Ryu to become Scorpion or more likely NRS will create a New Version of Sub-Zero, it could be Satoshi as Kuai and Harumi’s Son or a New Character that he’s real name is Thudra and if Kuai is Sub-Zero as a Reborn Snow Wraith would be Sick.
Na. I think it will remain Bi-han. He will be cured in the next DLC or game. I feel the sorcerers will try to clone him to make the brotherhood of shadow, but Liu or someone will revert Bi-Han back to his human form. I wanna see Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) vs Noob Saibot (his clone).
Kuai Liang was known as Tundra in the older timelines before he took up the Sub-Zero mantle. I say the new Tundra might become Sub-Zero if he has cryokinesis.
I have a theory: Bi-Han didn't die, just his evil/chaotic essence was extracted by Havik and converted into a living being, Noob Saibot. This means that there are two Bi-Hans: Noob Saibot, who is evil, and Sub-Zero, who is good. Probably, Sub-Zero Bi-Han without the evil/chaotic essence is still trapped in Havik's timeline. 😮 Evidences for the theory: • Before becoming Noob-Saibot, Bi-Han is extremely evil, to the point of killing his own father, even though he being a Liu Kang's creation. • Titan Havik used those extraction instruments on Bi-Han and the same ones are used in Geras to attract the sands of time. • There is no Bi-Han death scene. • Liu Kang tried to cure Bi-Han, but was unsuccessful. Such a cure can supposedly take years. • Even with his mind freed, Noob Saibot is still extremely evil. Noob's ending in the tower reveals that he is learning more of his abilities, suggesting that Noob Saibot Bi-Han no longer has a chance for redemption. • Havik's timeline was not destroyed. • The mystery of who will be the next Sub-Zero.
What if Kuai Liang’s original codename was Hydro instead of Tundra? That way, he wouldn’t be too much like Sub Zero until he takes the Sub Zero mantle after his older brother Bi Han dies and comes back as Noob Saibot.
This is why NRS never should've made Kui-Liang the new Scorpion, especially after Khaos Reigns, when NRS decided to make Bi-Han Noob Saibot again instead of keeping him as the main Sub-Zero.
@IceCold_Carter if that were true, then why did the developers double back on using the time travel and Multiverse concept when MK1 was supposed to be a fresh start, but instead got cold feet and used em again that ended up hurting the story (twice if you count Khaos Reigns). Plus, some of the elements in the story weren't really all that since it's obvious that NRS borrowed ideas from MK 2011's arcade endings, when in reality, MK1 should've been MK12 were the franchise should've moved forward instead of taking the lazy route and rebooting again. And if NRS wanted to establish a full-on reboot game, then they shouldn't have used time travel as that only created plot holes in the MK lore since 2011 and got worse in MK1. The multiverse also shouldn't have been used because all it did was make the high stakes and consequences less important in MK. Lastly, MK1 wasn't truly successful. The game has certain issues (like the guest character mechanic) and controversies to boot (such as censorship or gender swapping characters) that hurt the games reputation. The game may have sold 4 million copies, but it wasn't truly a success in Warner Bros's eyes, which is a big Uh-Oh. The reasons for that are due to the games' higher cost range, not surpassing MK11's sold copies (which i believe was 15 million), and released the game only on ps5, which at the time not many people were buying either due its high cost range, not having much interesting games on the platform, or gamers moving away from PlayStation and Xbox and going into PC gaming, or Nintendo. All in all, the game is not perfect as it has a lot of flaws that NRS need to take note of if the developers want the next MK game to succeed.
Nice video man awesome nice I love it Can't wait for the next one man be Han is cool character sub zero is a cool character I never understood why he was he was a bad guy in the 2021 movie the reboot can u explain that to me history behind the warrior 🤔 if u can for me please thank u man.
Personally, I think it’s either Frost who becomes Sub-Zero or New Era Hanzo becomes Sub-Zero. I mean, Liu Kang most likely altered Frost’s past so she is probably not as power hungry as previous versions.
Liu Kang could've just kept Hanzo Scorpion and made Kuai Liang Sub-Zero which probably would've saved the Lin Kuei from breaking apart, but also saving me from an aneurysm just trying to keep track of what my favorite character is up to
I would actually like hydro and since he can’t fully use ice control he could have snow related moves also but Kuai makes the most sense since there always a second sub zero
I feel like frost would make a great sub zero. The character was considered a joke in 11 but it’s been talked about her great potential as well so this can act as her new redemption as she’s proving herself in the role of Sub-zero MK1 scorpion is wise enough to see the value in frost and guide her to not become like the literal broken reflection that is noob but also it could make for a nice new brother sister dynamic between the fire and ice ninja
Then why did they kill him off in the first MK and replace him with his younger brother for the rest of the games? We could’ve sworn he made his return from MK1 to MK2.
It is only right to everyone in MK history and fandom, that Hanzo takes back the mantle of Scorpion, and Kuai Liang restores honor to the family name of Sub-Zero.
I personally think that it could be Hanzo. It hasn't been established what his abilities are in this timeline, and he's going to take some sort of mantle, so ultimately flipping who has what identity would be an interesting way to go. Of course, I overall think Netherrealm should have gone further with things. If the different characters have the mantles, then the characters should fight differently. For instance, Kuai Liang had long been established as using Shotokan Karate and Southern Dragon Kung Fu. As Scorpion, he should have been using these moves, since that's just what he does. On that note, Bi Han was established to fight using Monkey Kung Fu, though sadly only as Noob Saibot and limitations of MK9 would have made sure he wouldn't have been playing the same as that as Sub-Zero (but this is a new timeline, so things can be different). And on to Hanzo: he's the one who uses Ninjutsu, Hapkido, and Moi Fah. It could have been interesting to see them hold off on those, so they could have him take up the Sub-Zero mantle and have that character use those fighting styles. Instead, it's more like each mantle comes with not only its particular powerset associated with it, but also it changes one's very martial arts, which makes less sense.
As someone who has owned every single Mortal Kombat game? I’ve been playing them since Sega genisis. I can truly say I think I’m done with Mortal Kombat. They were the one franchise that didn’t do the stupid Multiverse stuff until they did one completely went off the rails with the story and the whole invasion thing has got to be the stupidest game mode in any video game I’ve ever played.

With Entertainment in the area of gaming they will go full Kathleen Cartman
Love to see Hydro but, will probably get frost
Awesome
Just a what if but what if hanzo grows up and learns ice powers?
That could happen but I hope that's not the case,Hanzo should become Scorpion after Kuai liang retires or pass down the torch,If we get a new sub zero it should be frost or a kid of kuai liang's
@ ooh that doesn’t sound like a bad idea. I like that idea
@@SupportGamin2024oh yes it would make better sense since they introduce harumi and their relationship
Nah it won’t work
Frost could become sector and bihans child. It would make sense for the next game
Kuai Liang IS Sub-Zero and Hanzo Hasashi IS Scorpion 🦂!!!!!!! 👊🏻🎮🐉🦂🦂🦂✌🏻🙏🏻
Speaking facts.
Not anymore
Bring back male cyrax and sektor
Sektor & Cyrax need to return to their normal actual selves. I hate how they both got gender swapped.
@@aryelrosa4829Gender swap to me is mostly meh. But they're not even cyborgs, that's what they fucking are i'm so pressed they're aren't CYBORGS
They won’t
I would say either of them.
Hydro sounds perfect to carry the mantle.
Bi han should have frost as a student in Liu kuei, she can take over Lin kuei after bi han became noob saibot
Frost first command
Sektor second command
I'd rather give Hydro a chance. Why? Frost had her time in the spotlight and she wanted to be her own cryomancer so to speak. So no rather than yet again have Kuai be Sub Zero for no reason just because I would rather let another character we haven't seen in a very long time take the rains instead.
It could be a nice way to add hydro as the next subzero, he could have the power of ice and water mancy
Oh nevermind, but would be dope, he could have hot and cold water powers
I’ll put money on Hanzo being Sub Zero. They have already dropped many hints.
Knowing how unoriginal nether realm is they’ll probably just get a different bi-han from a different timeline
maybe they will go with the easy way by making hanzo subzero.. or return bihan to his human form🤷♀️ but kuai is the best guess to me and hanzo will take the scorpion mantle and bihan keeps on being noob saibot😌
That is not haplening
The problem with Hydro coming back as Subzero is will not be Hydro, but rather another Subzero with water powers. What I can see happening is; Kuai stays as Scorpion and young Hanzo grows up to become Subzero. Or, seeing as how Kuai is a master at taming rage (in Raiden's ending) and how he wants to restore Linkuei's honor (Scorpion's ending), it might be that he has completely rid himself of his rage thereby giving him a total switch in abilities also
yoooooo after 18 min
I think Sektor will create a Cyber Sub-Zero and that is the new Sub-Zero.
@@Mortal-Knite nah nah nah khrome should be canon
Yes I agree 1000% get hydro in the series and make him a main roster fighter and in the lore. I don’t know if he is better as human or cyber but just get him in here he would be great to make his debut in MK2 and he is one of the scraped fighters they need to bring back. If we get a convincing part 3 storyline then scorpion can take up the mantle but he should try to get a different apprentice Frost is just out for power and control we need someone who is better then that.
I still hope either Bi Han somehow returns as Sub-Zero or that Hanzo or Bi Han and Sektor’s son becomes the new Sub-Zero. But hey, anything can happen
Is it me? I bet its me.
Sektor becomes cyber sub zero
Hydro and Ice are both in the comics also Bi-Han has a sister would b cool 🥶more ice users
Surely Bi-Han gets purified somehow and becomes Sub Zero again but with some of Noobs powers? Would be a cool way to combine both characters movesets into one character
What would his name be then? Noob Zero or Sub Saibot
Why would the developers do that? That'd just be making a new character.
To control risk, don't pre-order
There are some options for me: as mentioned by other comments, the Hanzo SubZero would be a no brainer considered the shift with Scorpion. My innovative version would be to have the original name of Kuai Liang but with a new character (Tundra) which is similar to Hydro but with a MK9 known name
Grand Master Frost would be an interesting take especially if she trained the next generation of cyromancers
I'm all up for it!
It would be cool see hanzo become his own, maybe be trained by kaui and takeda? Leaving hanzos powers up for debate on who trains him the most. I can see him gaining telekinesis powers from takeda and learn both rope spear from kaui and takeda.
What if Liu Kang find a way to bring their father back to life and he becomes the new sub zero???
It be cool if Kuai Liang gets depowered while Hydro goes around as a Subzero eventually leading becoming Subzero and Hanzo finally being Scorpion and maybe the return of the Tekunin
🧊 HYDRO SUPREMACY 🧊
It might sound like a bad idea but Kuai is back as a undead cryomancer (Yuki-Onna like) after Noob kills him and he uses the name Tundra
I loved the Cyber Frost Kronika take and look
What if Frost gender swap
@@maestro9000Then it would indeed be Frost.
@@maestro9000 wouldn’t put it past NRS. 🤭
I think they will make Frost the new Sub-Zero, because diversity/ girls are gamers too.
Horrible idea
It is more likely
Give it to hydro but include frost
I have a theory: Bi-Han didn't die, just his evil/chaotic essence was extracted by Havik and converted into a living being, Noob Saibot. This means that there are two Bi-Hans: Noob Saibot, who is evil, and Sub-Zero, who is good. Probably, Sub-Zero Bi-Han without the evil/chaotic essence is still trapped in Havik's timeline. 😮
Evidences for the theory:
• Before becoming Noob-Saibot, Bi-Han is extremely evil, to the point of killing his own father, even though he being a Liu Kang's creation.
I hope its Frost. Dammit I’ve always wanted a hero version of her
Is the 90s comics even canon in MK universe??
I still personally think Hanzo will be the next Sub Zero, and we will have a true flip flop of MK11's Scorpion and Sub Zero.
They did the right thing
@IceCold_Carter no they didn't. NRS just made things much worse.
@@brandonscott4808 Nope, it made things better and fresh. No more living in the past. Things change, they did a good job. Over 4mil copies sold.
@@IceCold_Carteryou joking? It wasn’t a new thing, they kept a majority of the things same. Look they even kept the story from the last game.
I'm hoping Liu Kang can restore Bi-Han. Raiden restored Sub-Zero from a cyborg, so why not?
Chaos magic more compicated and wuan chi turned kuai back to organic not raiden
Why not have it like a ryu and evil ryu
Nice video man awesome nice I love it Can't wait for the next one man be Han is cool character sub zero is a cool character I never understood why he was he was a bad guy in the 2021 movie the reboot can u explain that to me history behind the warrior 🤔 if u can for me please thank u man.
I feel like frost. If she is in the next game, she is going to be somewhat like rain in this time-line
I meant to say Hanzo instead of Kuai
I feel like frost would make a great sub zero. The character was considered a joke in 11 but it’s been talked about her great potential as well so this can act as her new redemption as she’s proving herself in the role of Sub-zero
MK1 scorpion is wise enough to see the value in frost and guide her to not become like the literal broken reflection that is noob but also it could make for a nice new brother sister dynamic between the fire and ice ninja
Why not Hanzo? 😂
There's only one Sub-Zero and that's Bi-Han
Then why did they kill him off in the first MK and replace him with his younger brother for the rest of the games? We could’ve sworn he made his return from MK1 to MK2.
They should add the Tao Feng fighters to this game
It is only right to everyone in MK history and fandom, that Hanzo takes back the mantle of Scorpion, and Kuai Liang restores honor to the family name of Sub-Zero.
Or Bi Han will simply revert back to Sub-Zero.
Then who will be Noob?
@HOORAY4BOOTAY5 another undead warrior Quan Chi can create. Or someone from another timeline
@HOORAY4BOOTAY5 or even their deceased father
@@Blackwolfninja89 Then just make hydro sub zero, not confuse the fans with a new fleshed out character, they did before.
@@HOORAY4BOOTAY5 maybe in the next game
Hanzo's retcon was horrible omg. What was Ed Boone thinking?
Its not a retcon, you don't know the difference at all, this is a new timeline all together
@@SupportGamin2024It's silly.
Eminem’s bars r pretty cold so I say he has a shot
