When I was really young, I was visiting my cousins (who were much older) and they played this. It genuinely gave me nightmares, I couldn't sleep that night, watching the door terrified that zombie dogs would burst in. Now I'm much older and a huge horror junkie, and I love how hilariously cheesy this is. What's funny is the dragon sound effect they used for the dogs was crazy popular, I'd hear it probably thousands of times between then and now, but since it was my very first time hearing it back then, it terrified me. One thing I'll say is while it's hilariously cheesy and adorable, it's not _bad_ at all. I've seen my fair share of horrible horror movies, and this has all the hallmarks: Horrible audio mixing, hilarious acting, adorable monster puppets, schizo scene editing, but somehow it still manages to be more tense and thrilling than some of the movies I've seen, movies that had clearly much better budgets.
I view this as being a good effort on a bad budget. I'm sure Capcom wasn't willing to pay too much for this, so the dev team went to work with they had.
