@@FTNChicken yeah but Leslie Jones isn't a cast member anymore. She transitioned before coming on the show and was my favorite comedian. She got alot of trans and racial hate bc of her looks, saying Leslie is drag and it be obvious it's a man wearing a dress.
SHE is beautiful and they say this as a diss.
Look her up in previous skits. Shes been in a few movies too. I think people get confused bc she didn't have her bottom surgery when she wasn't famous.

James Austin Johnson is SUPER talented I don't understand why they kind of sidelined him the season when last season he was in almost every sketch. He does GREAT impressions and now I see he can sing as well. Not sure what's going on but I'd like to see more of him 🥳

As an old, I am 100% sure the character is based on Michael Macdonald, who is famous for his duets. I don't know much about him, but Black Twitter absolutely adores him (there was a mixup, people thought he passed away, wow that man is beloved), so he's gotta be a pretty good guy.

The "I'm allergic to dairy" one was great😅. He's a great actor, impressionist, writer, singer/rapper and possibly musician. Not to mention just plain hilarious. Great talent!

I don't know why, but at the end of those segments when they zoom out to show the set, and a production assistant runs out and just yanks the host off the stage is pretty hilarious to me.

My goooodness, this was good. It's got the TMI of 80's top-40 R&B tunes dialed in. The first line of the song just nailed it.
Gotta say, I had zero idea of who Travis was at the monologue, but wow! What great job! I can’t remember the last time a host was so integral to so much of the show or put in better performances throughout. Really well done, folks.

In the last second you can see the wardrobe lady bursting in to rush Travis to change his clothes for the next sketch
At least once an episode they will pan out showing the whole set and audience. That lady is in charge of getting the guest host to wardrobe and she’ll literally grab their hand and run them offstage.
Travis looks like he was having a good time though just dancing with the crew instead of looking for her to lead lol

A minor point, but so nice to see SNL realize that bio siblings do not need to be matching in skintone. Lots of families look like this, but on tv, they always try to make mixed people look 50/50. My besties growing up were from a nuclear, intact, bio family of many colors - great to see some representation for real world genetics.
