GO BIG! As long as you are having fun, I say Go For It! If you get overwhelmed you can always go back to working on WIPs. I would love to see how you kit these up and work out your spreadsheets. For me, I get stuck when I don't have a called for thread or can't find a good fabric match. Do you have a spreadsheet that contains all your floss? How do you update it? I also like the process of getting everything together and then being able to just grab a project bag and start stitching. Oh, and I thought I had already subscribed, but apparently not, so I am now your newest subscriber. Thanks for sharing your love of cross stitch and your creative planning process with us.

Great plans for 2022! I'm with you in regards to having projects kitted and started so that when you're in the mood for the project you can just pick it up. #24hoursofcrossstitch...I had just suggested to my daughter, Keiko, that we should do our own #24hocs this weekend and have spaghetti for the major meals. After stating that idea, we watched this video and, voila, hete's Jen talking about #24hocs! So, we'll be playing along with you and your mom this weekend! Looking forward to the weekend!

I’ve been kitting up lots of stuff because I, too, hate the starting process. It’s your birthday, stitch all you want! I love that stitching with your mama is so important. My daughter stitches, but with two boys it’s hard to carve out time. We used to go to a retreat each year, will have to get back to that soon. I will be stitching during the marathon. Getting my sewing done through the week so I can get lots is stitching time this weekend.

I am super excited to see your 222 starts! Yes, please show us the kitting up process and all the parts of this journey. I am not a diehard plan ahead kind of person, and absent any plan (or lack thereof) I fell into a Start All The Things kind of year for 2021. I have an extremely robust stash, and as you said, if I don’t start things, I won’t get to enjoy stitching on them. I am using the 24HOCS planner holiday prompts to dictate my project for the day. If I have a WIP that fits, I work on that, and if I don’t, I start something to fit the theme. Of course, there are still days that I go rogue and just stitch on whatever strikes my fancy, but having the holiday prompt/theme as a guideline has been super fun. My Maynia this year will be 31 new starts based on those same holiday themes. I’ve been having the best time! 🤗🥰 However, for the 24HOCS marathon weekends, I pull out one old WIP to make progress on. This weekend will be devoted to my oldest WIP, which I started sometime around 1989-91. I didn’t keep records back then, so I’m not exactly sure. Lol

I’ve missed her so much these past 5 years. My daughter has dabbled with stitching, but prefers crocheting, but I am so grateful that we have the same relationship! She truly is my best friend and we have so much fun together 🥰 Looking forward to 24hocs this weekend. Looks like it is going to be rainy in Ohio on Saturday, so even better! Love your new plans!! I love seeing your IG posts because we never know what you will show, and it’s great to see the progress on all your WIPs. I’ve been kitting up lots of stuff because I, too, hate the starting process. I find it a bit stressful making those first few stitches (especially wondering if I did the math correctly for the fabric). Enjoy your 24 hours of cross stitching!

I love the 222!!! I may join you in it to help you celebrate! I grew up in a town whose mile marker is 222 and it’s my favorite number. Not crazy at all! I love this!! I probably have more than 222 charts waiting to be stitched. I hope you’ll share when you’re starting and what projects.

You so make me laugh! I've been working all weekend trying to do 24#cs but this tiny little light switch cover is kicking my behind! An old project that I evidently had errors all over... I have done about 16 hours which is more than last month. Love to you and yours💕

It’s your birthday, stitch all you want! I love that stitching with your mama is so important. My daughter stitches, but with two boys it’s hard to carve out time. We used to go to a retreat each year, will have to get back to that soon. I will be stitching during the marathon. Getting my sewing done through the week so I can get lots is stitching time this weekend.

That’s so awesome! 222 projects. You’re giving me some ideas for my 50th (still several years away 😉). You and your mom are an inspiration. My daughter wants to start a new project with me for Mother’s Day! So thank you for that 🤗. We are going to start a Jardin Prive, and we are going to stitch in opposite colors. I cant wait...and it will become our Sunday project. Thank you so much for being an inspiration.

I am super excited to see your 222 starts! Yes, please show us the kitting up process and all the parts of this journey. I am not a diehard plan ahead kind of person, and absent any plan (or lack thereof) I fell into a Start All The Things kind of year for 2021. I have an extremely robust stash, and as you said, if I don’t start things, I won’t get to enjoy stitching on them. I am using the 24HOCS planner holiday prompts to dictate my project for the day. If I have a WIP that fits, I work on that, and if I don’t, I start something to fit the theme. Of course, there are still days that I go rogue and just stitch on whatever strikes my fancy, but having the holiday prompt/theme as a guideline has been super fun. My Maynia this year will be 31 new starts based on those same holiday themes. I’ve been having the best time! 🤗🥰 However, for the 24HOCS marathon weekends, I pull out one old WIP to make progress on. This weekend will be devoted to my oldest WIP, which I started sometime around 1989-91. I didn’t keep records back then, so I’m not exactly sure. Lol
