It's pretty common for shore companies with boardwalks or beach access to have light and maneuverable apparatus to get to the ocean-side exposure. Large resort towns, like Ocean City MD, have hydrants that can be sleeved on the boardwalk. One job that nobody gets in front of can take blocks and blocks of arcades, rides, bungalows & stores.
+Justin Boyd Nothing, the operator noticed when they got on scene the switch was flipped in the "off" position. Seems to be a common Pierce issue. It happens. At Least most of the lights were on.
+Scotty Jones Fire was contained to a pile of stuffed animals in the basement. Cause was deemed electrical due to a lamp malfunction, however fire spread was halted thanks to fire sprinklers.
Yes since it's a heavily populated boating community and has a major inlet from the Atlantic Ocean they have green lights on the front right just like a boat would.
When watching this video I came to the conclusion that the citizens of Point Pleasant need to learn that EMERGENCY VEHICLES HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY and people need to stop pulling out in front of them as they come down the street and pull over out of the way a lot sooner!!!
+jlu2992 It really is the tourist community that needs to learn to pay attention to the road. I've worked there for 6 years now and it always surprises me how people just blow traffic lights [there are no turn on red signs at some intersections] and damn near run people over who are in the cross walks.
I don't care if it's a tourist community or not!! EMERGENCY VEHICLES HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY and people need to get out of their way when they are coming. My DAD was a fire fighter for 26 and 1/2 years. I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!! All of the people - the tourists and residents! NEED TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF EMERGENCY VEHICLES!!
jlu2992 it's the tourists that need to learn, not the residents of point beach. I've worked here for 6 years now and during the winter emergency vehicles are treated as such.
I VOLUNTEERED THERE IN THE BEACH STARTING IN 1964--I WENT PAID UP NORTH--BUT THE SIREN AND RECORDED HORN STILL WAKES ME UP WHEN I AM HOME. Always great to see the BEACH in action
RESCUE 18 Seaside Park’s siren on the water tower 12 &. Barnaget Would go off 1 blast everyday at noon and I believe cycled 10 times during a fire call it was on my side of the house too
Nothing, the operator noticed when they got on scene the switch was flipped in the "off" position. Seems to be a common Pierce issue. It happens. At Least most of the lights were on.
I noticed the Point rigs have a green warning beacon on the right front (starboard) quarter, very nautical, I didn't realize there were departments other than Chicago that did that.
+Casey Fury O ok thanks i thought they had to be someones. I was when did 43 get that big rescue but then i saw the back of it and it had a different symbol and was wondering who's it was but thanks for the heads up on who's it was
What a storm that was---I live on the ocean and my house was GONE---BUT---I REBUILT AND I AM IMPRESSED BY HOW MUCH THE AREA HAS CAME BACK FROM THE DISASTER. I HAD TO WORK UP NORTH--COULD NOT GET HOME---when I did---there was nothing.
Imagine--during Hurricane Sandy, that very same street inundated with three feet of salt water and tons of sand. Ruined almost every piece of fire apparatus---most all of it replaced with new equipment.
fireems6231 not sure where it heard that but most of the department with the exception of 4201 and 4303 the rest of the rigs where there before and after sandy, although I'm not sure what equipment they lost they definitely still have these rigs today
YEAH--these are recent videos--Sandy was 4 years ago---Ocean number one has new stuff--what you see on this video is new-----Company 2 lost the Seagrave--now up in Andy Leider's barn collection The Boro has new stuff too----remember--it takes a long time to start the replacement process
fireems6231 yeah I'm aware of the boro's new rigs and the beach getting rid of the seagrave. I didn't know the seagrave was lost in sandy so thanks for the info, what I was originally trying to say was 4211, 4301, 4305 were all there before and after he storm I didn't want any viewers to think that sta 42,43 lost all their rigs but thanks for the info!
Ehhh I wouldn't say sad I would instead label it as excited, lol. I am from the USA and I do agree I'm not sure why there was a lower sounding pitch with the first ladder truck
Noticed that the lightbar on the first engine wasn't on. Anybody else notice?
Yes I noticed that they probably forgot to turn it on before they responded to the call
That dune buggy responding was hilarious!
+James Gorden Lmaooo right
That's the Chief.
negative
The dune buggy is becuase the fire was on the board walk in a fun house so they needed it to get transport onto the board walk

I found that at least driver always screwed up the shut down of lights.
Great video Mark you've really come a long way with the quality of footage you now produce.
Thanks that means a lot coming from you
why blue lights on a fire engine
Blue lights o UK fire appliances and orange on Spanish fire appliances.
Ron Roberts
Ppp
To all the area first responders along the shore--during Sandy ------I still salute you people for a job well done
Amazing!! They were really rocking! The best ones were of Tower and Rescue 43 and Wall Twp. Rescue 3.
how bad was the structure fire? Also that Pierce south wall rescue is a BEAST!
+Scotty Jones Minor fire, the reason i filmed the response videos instead
+Scotty Jones Fire was contained to a pile of stuffed animals in the basement. Cause was deemed electrical due to a lamp malfunction, however fire spread was halted thanks to fire sprinklers.
+Mike Ayers if you don't mind me asking are you at sta. 42 or 43?
Demonracer2 neither, I work security for Jenkinsons:)
Is there a story behind the green lights on the front of the Point Pleasant vehicles?
Yes since it's a heavily populated boating community and has a major inlet from the Atlantic Ocean they have green lights on the front right just like a boat would.
+Demonracer2 same as Chicago Fire Department and the suburbs.

I agree heh there on vacation so why move fast Idiots
I VOLUNTEERED THERE IN THE BEACH STARTING IN 1964--I WENT PAID UP NORTH--BUT THE SIREN AND RECORDED HORN STILL WAKES ME UP WHEN I AM HOME. Always great to see the BEACH in action
+fireems6231 hopefully I'll have more videos soon
THANK YOU--I would enjoy seeing them
If you wanna get woken up in middle of night by a siren bay head will wake you especially if you live near the station
RESCUE 18 Seaside Park’s siren on the water tower 12 &. Barnaget Would go off 1 blast everyday at noon and I believe cycled 10 times during a fire call it was on my side of the house too
@@peterarvanitis6497 Do they still go off at noon and is this Barnegat or Barnegat Light that does nooners?
what's wrong with the lightbar at 2:15
Nothing, the operator noticed when they got on scene the switch was flipped in the "off" position. Seems to be a common Pierce issue. It happens. At Least most of the lights were on.
oh ok. it happens with LAFD too.
This is such a good video???? I keep watching it??? Wish you had more Totowa man we get our work too!
+DeltaSquadMusic Since you posted that I've got a few, check them out!
One of your best/coolest videos! Loved it.
+Brandon Emergency Photography Thanks!

Air Raid siren going off before response...?
That ocean E-One pumper was sick!
1:27 is that siren in the backround the so called intersection? Priority and horn mixed?
Correct
1:10 There it is. The tower ladder engine.
Who's Chief and Engine/Rescue was that...They weren't any of Points Units
All the units were Point Beach except for South Wall Fire Rescues rescue chief and two utilities
+Casey Fury O ok thanks i thought they had to be someones. I was when did 43 get that big rescue but then i saw the back of it and it had a different symbol and was wondering who's it was but thanks for the heads up on who's it was
Nice parade (if you're into that crap) but where is the fire?
6:36 - Woah, WTF?! Awesome!
+Rian McDonald Lmaoooo that threw me off
0:01 RIP headphone users
That other siren I nheard when the bucket truck was coming down the road, was that one of those that goes off everyday at noon???????
no that siren goes off everytime we have a call
+Casey Fury are you on 42 or 43?
+Demonracer2 42
+Casey Fury one day when I'm in the area would you be able to help me get pics of 4201 and 4211?
+Demonracer2 turns out we are friends on Facebook already I'll message you there
What's wrong with there light bar
bar light not on
That tower is bae. Great video man!
One of my favorite trucks!
What a storm that was---I live on the ocean and my house was GONE---BUT---I REBUILT AND I AM IMPRESSED BY HOW MUCH THE AREA HAS CAME BACK FROM THE DISASTER. I HAD TO WORK UP NORTH--COULD NOT GET HOME---when I did---there was nothing.
fireems6231 I'm so sorry to hear that, glad you were able to rebuild. I wish you nothing but the best
Thank you----I am rebuilt--everything is new and I think I am a lot better off than some of my neighbors who could not rebuild.
Love your content. Brings me back home.
Glad you enjoy it!
Any response to Boardwalk, for any fire, should be a full box alarm with stations on stand by.
Great Response Video!
+SoCal CodeThree Thanks for watching!
I love you guys are the best of luck with the fires
In Logan WV we don’t use a ladder truck un less it’s commercial we just roll 1-2 trucks and relay water we are volunteer with pay on the the city
Nothing like your light bar not working 😕
Sadly they didnt have it turned on 😕
@@demonracer2 That's why you do truck checks
2:54 is the nicest engine co.
Thanks for watching!
When using the old Federal Q, the idea is to oscillate the sound, not peg the boards for 15 mins. A Q is not effective when the sound changes.
Wow Rescue 3 is a beast!
+Matt Alexander got that right!
South Wall Rescue 3 is fucking huge
That tower was moving it
Ok next the fire itself...............?
The last few seconds were the fire wasn't much to see I never got out of the car, it was all interior small fire in the basement
Great movie! keep it up with more
Thank you!

Why do I hear a air raid alarm?
That is the volunteer FD House Siren
I thought it was a Little over kill but if that fire spread wow
You do know that the boardwalk burned down a few years ago so...No, not enough apparatus.
I heard that about that
I hear a model 2 siren
Yup that was the reactivation for a working fire
Damn that ladder was hauling ass!
They sure were, one of my all time favorite videos!
After what happened a few years ago, one would believe that their response to boardwalk fires has been rushed a bit more.
Why does the American Fire Truck's always sound so... i dunno, sad? Especially the first ladder truck :P
Ehhh I wouldn't say sad I would instead label it as excited, lol. I am from the USA and I do agree I'm not sure why there was a lower sounding pitch with the first ladder truck
that was the station siren guys
*Broflovski Alert*
Jimmy Fallon
I heard that about that
