I feel like if the jays tried to land Williams offering up like a Romano and Barger (or insert bubble young player here) would be a nice sure up at the back end, still would need to address it more, strong lefty and some more reliable inning eaters
I like Bubic from KC for a lefty in the pen. He could be available. I hope these conversations don't end up turning into talks about Vladdy by January.
Just a pile of AAAA and bench players, ceilings are a solid MLB starter at best. I dont think we can get much back for them. If the 10% chance of signing Soto happens we have the core of a contender, anything else we can do within the constraint of our budget is flailing to try to achieve 81 wins +/- 3 wins. if Soto is a no then Oakland A's this and trade everything of value for prospects and start fresh as our farm has no help in sight to build anything around Vlad, he will be in his 30's by the time we can turn around this disaster. Or dont do that and we can just hang round .500 like we did for 20 years and Vlad can be Carlos Delgado 2.0
Are you the person that said that someone was going to somewhere else and it didn’t happen so are we trying to see if this is gonna be a fake trade like always be honest with y’all your reviewers man seriously you might get somewhere so it might take you seriously someday
Lukes might be more productive than Springer with the way things looked in 2024, if John rolls Springer out on opening day in the lead off spot we’ll be in for a long season
Springer led the team in stolen bases, which unfortunately might convince management to still keep him in the leadoff spot. I assume that the front office and analytics department have a lot of pull on lineup construction, possibly even more so than John Schneider.
I read somewhere last night that Guerrero was made available to all teams. Can’t find a link to it, today. If this is true, it could make it difficult to sign available free agents.
The front office would look at offers other teams make on Vlad, which is what a responsible front office would do. I doubt any offers would knock their socks off and prompt them to pull the trigger to trade Vlad away, though. That's all there is to that. The phrasing "made available to all teams" is sensationalizing it for clicks/views, trying to make it sound as though the Jays put Vlad on waivers, which is not true.

Play Lukes instead of Springer. Swallow the 25 mil

It’s all garbage don’t believe that he’s getting 400 million
I read it on Blue Jay's insider.

Jays farm system is weak AF so they will struggle with trades and they have pretty much zero pitching depth
True is not looking good for Toronto in the future.
Are you serious? Do you not remember how many players they brought in to our farm system? It’s really good now. Did you forget to trade deadline?
@@Steven-b2f7m I didn't forget. They still don't have a great farm system.
@@Steven-b2f7mit’s better but it’s not good at all. We could pull off 1 or 2 good trades but then it would be stripped.
