I’m interested to know why you’re not high on Barger? Defensively, to me, he passes the eye test with that arm. His swing is long but the comment last year was always, “we need guys who swing hard” and he doesn’t fall short on that🤷🏼‍♂️

Holy smokes, you guys are on crack. You’re not getting Fernando Tatís for all of the leftover spare parts of the Blue Jays, you’re not getting Luis Robert either for what you offered, and I was about to leave a comment that Carter was at least the voice of reason until he did his Ryan McMahon trade, which was equally as ridiculous. You guys are valuing our prospects way too high. Louis Robert, Ryan McMahon, Fernando Tatis, would take so much more than what you guys are offering. Carter, you were on the right track when you said that any deal for these guys would absolutely include three of our top prospects, plus a major league player at the minimum.

I think the Reds could be a team that could trade some of their young players. They have two players were their value does not look good after a bad season, Christian Encarnacion-Strand, he got hurt but they may not have room for him with their young roster. Or Noelvi Marte, got suspended for PED, both could be possibilities . As a duo or single player trade. Reds may still want to make their pitching roster deeper. Maybe Bowden Francis and Will Wagner could be a starting point in a trade. Both Francis and Wagner value are high at the moment, CES and Marte’s value are low. Marte at 3B and or CES at DH and 1B..

J D Martinez I think is a cheap DH.

That's Jays hat is killer! Go get King, he is one of the next big guns in MLB, then sign him. Forget positional players, Jays are going to rely on their kids to take the next step, and use Clement's solid defense and decent stick at 3rd. Maybe they take a flyer on a guy like Ty Lance but really, go get King.

Arenado's no trade was inserted into his contract so that he had leverage. If he was traded, he can demand his option year, which has already happened when he was traded to STL. All it would take is his approval. In November, he likely had no interest, but now - if he comes with another piece - he could see the value.

We should be targeting pitching over everything. The offense is already fixed enough put us in top 5 territory if things click (They already weren't going to be as bad as last year). We had over 20 blown saves and probably 10 games where we had 5 runs against in the first 3ip. .. especially early on the year. Won't win games like that, regardless of the offense.

Guys Please Fix your Audio Issues...Too much "CLIPPING" in Carter's mic

Jay pitching was negative WAR last year. 3.6 starters and minus 3.8 for relief. It needed the most addressing/rebound. Add that to our 6th highest non pitcher WAR total and we got dragged all the way to the bottom 5 of yotal WAR. What a drop. We lost 100% of the pitching performance from 2023. The offense dropped 20% (literally just Bo's production. If we had his 5 WAR, our non pitcher WAR would have led the AL. Not bad for a garbage year- and it was garbage) I like Fangraphs war, but i prefer BRef for WAR. Fangraphs uses FIP to determine pitcher WAR. I like FIP individually , but the stat tells the story of 'what if'. It's not what actually happened, so it shouldn't determine any tangible value. It kills defense stats too. FIP blames everything that gets hit and isn't an out on the D. BRef uses R/9 and actually represents true results. It doesn't steal Value from the defense and give it to a pitcher. That why BBref has 2022 Manoah at 6 war and fangraphs has him at 3.9. Manoah's FIP was a whole run higher than his actual performance, so because of what 'didnt happen', manoah loses a boatload of WAR to FG. Not saying one is better, it's just my preference

I didn't hear the name of perhaps the most important piece of the bullpen's success, and that is Pete Walker. I find it can be hard to gauge a pitching coach but for as bad as the results from the bullpen were, it seems logical that firing could have happened. I tend see a player here or there improving when coming to Toronto but for me it is too little to count on. Any thoughts? Keep up the good work

I wouldn’t have made that T. Hernandez for just about anyone because of his bat & club house presence, this was a horrible trade , varsho trade was terrible, , basically we have santandare good pickup but we’re around a 80 to 85 win team better than I gave last year I said 78 wins we won 74 , it were not a World Series team , I couldn’t stand Atkins but he’s redeemed himself a little but he’s F this team up , we we lose to a World Series before he got here , now we’re in catch up from atkins F-up s , so hopefully he can fully get some hope for jays fans

You guys missed one big thing in the Bo Bichette talk How much will Bo want in the millions of $ and how many years And How much will Rogers/Atkins willing to pay Bo with all the other money they have spent at that time. And how much are the other teams willing to give Bo when he is out on the open market.And how good of year will he have in 2025 These factors will determine whether the Blue Jays sign Bo

Bo has been injured too much and had a disaster season last year. Need to see how he plays in 2025 to even gauge his worth.

450 million for Vladimir Jr. is obscene. He never comes through in the clutch and makes dumb mistakes constantly. Would be a colossal mistake to commit to that contract.

Conditions for Bichette to resign with Toronto I would say are; #1 a competitive year from the team, #2 A mediocre to decent year from Bichette. If the team tanks, there is a likelihood he is shipped out of town. If Bichette returns to form I don't see the Blue Jays being willing to put up the money to keep him unless Guerrero is already out the door. Keep up the good work

I don’t think Bo is done at all , terrible team & injuries but he’s going to have a big year “ I think “ but if we’re not signing him we need to get something for him , even if some how , even if we’re in first place in the East , just for the future, again Springer will have to be in the deal ; if Bo & Vladdy gets to FA we have to trade them, we will get outbid by the big wigs , I want to keep them but if not I understand we need our future, it’s a catch 22 but ??????

If we lose Bo in a trade we have to put Springer in that trade , if you want Bo bad enough you have to take springer in the deal

We need to get something for him if we’re not signing him , if he’s having a career year, his value is high , we can get some great prospects for him , I’d hate to lose him but we have to cut ties , Sorry but it’s a very… very tough decision

I wouldn’t mind trading Bichette to the Dodgers for Dustin May and a mix of any of these options, Gonsolin, or Gonzolin or a mix of Prospects.
