    Good explanation. I just do single doubles since my yard is more on the smaller size. Same thing but faster

    Great video! A couple things to help the new striper if that is your thing...as you said - higher & healthy grass will stripe better...I like between 3.25"-3.75" in my northern climate. I find the best 'pop' is stripes that travel in the same direction as the sun moves - East to West. Go over each stripe two times (cut your lawn twice)...follow this pattern for two to three weeks/mows...then change direction (perpendicular or diagonal and repeat - this is to avoid rutting)...do when the grass is healthy and moist but dry to the touch and the ground is firm...have fun with it...

    Make a striping kit at home easy and cheap with bungee cord, pvc pipe, super glue, crushed rock or anything heavy you can fill it with. Adds that little bit something extra that’ll make your neighbors jealous 😂

    • @PoloFieldsLawnService
      @PoloFieldsLawnService  5 месяцев назад +3

      A striping kit would do the job, but my lawn stripes good without one. Plus, I don't see the average homeowner building a stripe kit. Even though its simple to us, it may be difficult to them. As long as they have the cutting pattern down and they want to take it a step further by adding one or building it, they can do so 👍🏾

      I know right 😆😆 I normally let the edges go when it gets super hot, and then I'll trim them back when the temperatures go back down.

    I noticed you didn't have a stripe kit but still made nice stripes. What exactly is the attachment that you used to make those stripes?

    • @PoloFieldsLawnService
      @PoloFieldsLawnService  Год назад +1

      Hello J Will, I don't have an attachment, or do I own a stripe kit. What you're seeing is the reflection of some good turf. I did a video that shows you how I cut and how those stripes actually bleed into the lawn. I did this with my push mower and my commercial mower. Check it out when you get a chance.

      Thank you. @@PoloFieldsLawnService i had to write it out on paper..wheww! i think its all about 4"s, 1 up 1 back(which is really 2 up - 2 back)--then remember to go over the 'up lane' again and the 'back lane' again...in its same direction to produce 2 lanes of 2...in other words you do go back over a lane to make it the same direction.? And, brother if you understand this, god does bless you. Thank you. As i want to try it this week....
