Dang man, just watching you work with that saw it shows you are a true pro. You move so natural with it in and out of the wood. Good job bud. Nothing beats a non strato 372xp in the Midwest hardwood.
Yeah he’s good with a saw that’s for sure! Husqvarna doesn’t make a non Strato 372 anymore, which it looks like this saw is. I have the same one, 2013 model. Blue choke lever, decomp on top. Only the clone saws are making old style cylinders. This saw will get better once broken in, mine is a strong saw stock!
Fighting the brush is almost as much of a challenge as the tensioned limbs! Thanks to you, I started carrying a wedge so I could get my saw out of a pinch… I wish I’d learned that years ago! Keep on cutting Pete. A dozen trees on the ground are much less strain on me when I get to set and watch you drop them!!!
You have respect with possible tension in limbs when liming , my uncle got swiped in Face from limb under tension gathering firewood. Had a hell of a scar. Good watch, Thanks for bringing me along w/helmet cam.
Looks like everywhere you have to lay one down it's nuthin but a thicket, and you have to fight as much of it as you do the tree limbs your working on. Good thing winter is coming knocks foliage down, but bad thing is crappy weather screws work up. Guess you got a little bit of each coming, but man am I past ready to see the dam heat gone down here in NE Texas finally. Now if it'll just rain instead of flood, but any moisture is needed bad at least around here it is. Take care Pete, and glad you found you a new saw. Take care and stay safe up yonder
Nice new saw Pete, the way your rocking and rolling with that bad boy won't be long before the whole bloody forest is down. Poor lau wont have any trees to put her stand in, Lol .
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I hope you're doing better. I got word of your recent accident. I hope you don't mind that I've been praying for you. I believe that God can heal all wounds. Take care and God Bless.
Pretty nice stuff there. Seems like when you get into something decent it’s always brushy or steep or something to do with it so I’m doing nice little clear-cut, but a lot of underbrush and part of it is steep.
For the money, you can convert the x torq (x turd) over to original 372 xp. Just need the carburetor and head piston. You will still be money ahead as unreliable as the x torqs are.
Hi Pete, I see U are sticking with the old reliable 372 carb. I tried the 572 Autotune, but it had problems with tuning, where I had to take it back to the Husqvarna dealer a couple times. I dont think I would buy another Autotune.
Wow that's surprising, they have seemed to work very well from the experience of myself and others I know, I have a ported 550xp mk2 and 572xp, and the 592 which'll be getting ported soon, they take to porting very well and excellent fuel efficiency. Sorry to hear your experience I hope you'll try another one out, the 550xp mk2 is very impressive
The right saw for the wood you cut. That saw is not bogging down. TP tried and proven to do the job. New or not got to use these saws the way they built to work. Brake in is a novelty for those that have the luxury to pussy foot around. Back in the day when I was helping out at clam motors in east bum f-k NH a kid got a 78 trans am for finishing High school. It was stalling and slogged up. We asked the kid to take us for a ride and told him to drive they way he always did. Okay my buddy flying frank got in the driver’s seat told the kid buckle up and proceeded to book it all over the nieborhood. That how this car was built to drive. The next day the kid traded it for a chevet.
Damn you’re quick at that … Looks like you’ve cut a tree or a thousand , a true Picasso wielding that saw ! Sounds like the old school 372xp not the 372xp xtra turd ! I guess the clone saw is a shelf queen now ……….. eh ? 😂
@@nuts319 really ? Guess I gotta get batteries for my hearing aid 😂.. Well she moves right along with you at the helm sir ! You’re like a machine out there dropping those trees !
Pete what did you do with your old 372? Consider having it fixed? You can Ditch the nylon cage bearings that's in the 372x torq...failure rate is way less
@@nuts319just be sure to tune it correctly before it has a piston meltdown event to cause that brand new beauty to have a “blown up” affair. It’d be a terrible thing 😮
Price is the price I guess. Same at any local stihl dealer, I checked. As for Husqvarna vs Stihl, all I can say is my man prefers Stihl, and since he has to run it all day... he gets what he likes. That Hexa chain is awesome, according to him.

You’re right about the days getting shorter a lot of acorns and hickory nuts this year. Walnut trees are loaded this year
Sorry too hear about you accident Pete praying for you for a speedy and full recovery
Tall trees .nice dropping . Great limbing . you make it look easy , Pete .

Hey Pete 👋, great new saw.
It’s common on the strato 372’s to melt the seal and then junk the bearing. At least in my experience
It took me two times to learn the hard way. I will never buy another 372 x turd again. Switch over to the 390 and now the 572.
Looks like a good saw great video buddy 👍

So which chain did you pick for the new Husky? Hopefully you can find a few hours in a stand with the recent rain!👍

Yes, but you can get around that with a little pick
