Hey this is really cool. I'm just getting into 1:32 slot cars myself. A friend of mine is going to be making a slot track. I'm thinking of making a drag track myself after seeing this. Thanks for the post and the inspiration.
HERES AN ACE IDEA, after the copper stops, why dont you make a tiny gap and then add more copper tape, BUT connect both sides of the copper to short the motor which will create a large resistance in the motor and make it slow down suddenly!

Looks really good but most drag cars need a long shut down section. Great job though!!!
