You have mentioned Parul medical college in that only graduation year 2021-2022 ( 15-16 )batch can take exam . So people graduated in 2023,2024 can’t. What to do now ??

I am final year student of 2020 batch. I am from first batch of my college. College name is Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College, Bharuch. In which year my college has to write an email for sponsor note? And in which i can appear for my step-1 exam?

sir why the colleges of 2017 and before are NMC recognised but don’t have a ECFMG certification? It that the college didn’t apply or they get rejected by the ecfmg?
These could be the reasons:
1 - It's a long and slow process... Might take a year or so... Med schools est. in 2016, 2017 are still in the process (in 2024)...
2 - Some of the Med school sent the emails requesting the ECFMG Sponsor note without completing the requirements as mentioned in the video (How to Get ECFMG Sponsor Note | Medical School Requirements for USMLE Steps) ruclips.net/video/ZFEEMhxgTNo/видео.html
3 - Their request is pending with the NMC. Medical Council of India (MCI) was replaced by National Medical Council (NMC) at the end of 2020. NMC had tried to complete the pending works, but some stuff might have been neglected during the transition( also the covid mess...).
4 - Some med school didn't even started the process, thinking their med school will automatically get the ECFMG Sponsor Note after getting recognised by NMC.
5 - Some newer med school doesn't feel the compulsion to apply for ECFMG Sponsor Note and get involved in this long and tedious process. (Because getting a sponsor note is not mandatory for them to 'run'/operate their med schools.)
I have graduated from my college in 2023 but does not have a ecfmg sponsored and the management is not doing it urgently if the college gets it next year that is 2024 will i be able to give the usmle exams?
You can give USMLE steps if your med school gets the ECFMG sponsor note. India have already got its WFME accreditation (which is an additional requirement along with ECFMG Sponsor note to apply for USMLE exam).
You should request your med school management to send the email through their official email only after:
(1) the 1st batch of the med school completes its internship +
(2) Med school get recognised by the NMC(in case of India) +

It's a long process... Might take a year or so... Med schools est. in 2016, 2017 are still in the process (in 2024)... Let's hope they speed up the process...

'ECFGM Sponsor note for medical College' and 'WFME accrediting the Accredating agency of a country (ie. NMC for India)' are two separate things.

Currently, accrediting agencies recognized by either WFME or NCFMEA fulfill the requirements of the Recognized Accreditation Policy 2024. The requirements of the policy are in addition to all other policies related to ECFMG Certification. )
So, your Med school will still need to have an ECFMG sponsor note even if the NMC gets Accredited/Recognised. In simple words,NMC accreditation is just an additional requirement along with the 'primary' sponsor note. You need them both if you apply from 2024.
Time taken for getting an ECFMG Sponsor Note = Variable (usually takes around 1-1.5 years)

My college has 3 batches graduated till now even after that we don't have recognition.And now I'm ineligible for ECFMG registration.

When will the ecfmg website get updated to include those schools which do not have sponsor note but our accredited by nmc/wfme
