These could be the reasons: 1 - It's a long and slow process... Might take a year or so... Med schools est. in 2016, 2017 are still in the process (in 2024)... 2 - Some of the Med school sent the emails requesting the ECFMG Sponsor note without completing the requirements as mentioned in the video (How to Get ECFMG Sponsor Note | Medical School Requirements for USMLE Steps) ruclips.net/video/ZFEEMhxgTNo/видео.html 3 - Their request is pending with the NMC. Medical Council of India (MCI) was replaced by National Medical Council (NMC) at the end of 2020. NMC had tried to complete the pending works, but some stuff might have been neglected during the transition( also the covid mess...). 4 - Some med school didn't even started the process, thinking their med school will automatically get the ECFMG Sponsor Note after getting recognised by NMC. 5 - Some newer med school doesn't feel the compulsion to apply for ECFMG Sponsor Note and get involved in this long and tedious process. (Because getting a sponsor note is not mandatory for them to 'run'/operate their med schools.)

Well, to summarise, 1-You still need you med school to get ecfmg sponsor note. 2- WFME accreditation is just addition requirement for applying to USMLE along with the sponsor note. (India already got WFME accreditation.) 3- Furthermore, the updated ECFMG website now incorporates 'Intealth', an integrated organization that comprises ECFMG and the FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research), although this change does not significantly impact the application process.

As i checked, Your med school only have yearly permission from NMC for admission of students. Your med school still doesn't have permanent NMC certificate... Firstly Your med school must get final/permanent NMC certification(recognition)... . New med school are certified only for 1 year by the NMC. It need to be re-certified again till med school gets permanent NMC certification. Permanent certification is given to med school after completion of internship of the 1st batch... Other details/requirements about NMC certification can be checked out on their official website... . While sending the details your med should CAREFULLY mention the year in which the 1st batch was 'admitted' and the year in which the 1st batch 'graduated'. . There are no charges mentioned by the ecfmg... However your medical school might have to pay the cost of sending documents via 'traditional' mail, just in case ecfmg asks for it...

You should not create multiple USMLE IDs. The details are added in their database. Multiple USMLE IDs of same individual may result in error. You can apply for form 186, you might not have this problem...

Medical Council of India (MCI) was replaced by National Medical Council (NMC) at the end of 2020. NMC had tried to complete the pending works, but some stuff might have been neglected during the transition( also the covid mess...). NMC is the appropriate agency in this matter. You can request the NMC to provide the supporting documents (details about your med school - established date, currently operating or not etc...).
