Frank Lacy plays 20+ instruments & wrote all the musical charts for Art Blakey's bands for years. He's a frigging musical genius w a physics degree from a tiny town in Texas who never made more than a couple of nickels but plays for the love of music ~ Frank is absolutely brilliant

Frank Lacy does not use drugs or alcohol. I knew him a little bit. Spent a couple of weeks w the Blakey band when they toured California ~ Frank did all the arrangements and hand wrote the charts for the band ~ He's brilliant but seems "out there" because he's truly some kinda genius ~ He has a degree in physics and can talk about the planets & galaxies which he did all night while everyone else was high ~ but he was NOT. Never. Not ever. High on math...but not drugs. Peace. Out.
