I noticed at the end you had added hood vents. Did I miss this part? Great video by the way.

Inspiring video!... I'm getting ready to give my WJ a Rustoleum paint job.... I see in your latest vids the Spooky Jeep is now pretty faded. I actually have a small amount of professional paint and body experience and I have some tips for folks looking to paint their vehicles with Rustoleum type paint. First the hardener they sell for tractor paint is complete junk and really expensive for how crappy it is. You can use any automotive grade hardener intended for automotive acrylic enamel in Rustoleum type oil based paint. Automotive grade hardeners have vastly better UV protection and urethane resins that increase gloss. They range in price from about $26 for Synthetic Enamel Hardener to say $35 to $40 for Wet Look Enamel hardener, $45 to $65 for Super Wet Look hardener. Basically the more you spend the better gloss and UV protection you'll get. Any of them will dramatically out perform the tractor paint stuff, keeping your paint shining for years, instead of months....
My other tip if you're feeling really ambitious is skip the hardener altogether, use Japan Drier instead. It does the same thing as hardener except it gives no increased gloss or UV protection. Anyhow spray the color then wait 2 weeks sand out all the Orange peel and respray the vehicle with 2K Clear. A gallon kit cost about $80... Warning when you don't know what you're doing it's easy to get runs, but if you pull it off the results can be every bit as good as professional base coat clear coat paint job

Painting at night in the dark, I thought I was the only one that did that. But I usually wind up painting on a rainy.night
Nice job dude. I'm getting ready to rattle can my 2-door Cherokee, and I think I will borrow your bed-liner on the rockers trick. Good idea.

I rattle canned my first XJ I had a long time ago. It came out surprisingly well and people couldn’t tell it was just spray paint. Good luck.

Id like to know more about the bumper kit. I'm pretty good at just about all the trades, but have never welded. I did just pick up a 110 Volt miller buzz box at a garage sale, have yet to use it. Could the bumper kit be considered a "thoughtful beginner" move? The amazon posting talks about welding and "Folding" the pieces. Folding? Can't quite get my head around "flolding" steel...

I’ve actually used the winch on my bumper a lot as well as using the recovery points. The steel is slotted where you need to bend so it is relatively easy. You can check out my video here where I talk more about it. DIY Jeep Cherokee XJ Winch Bumper From A Kit Anyone Can Build
