    Purchased this same pool yesterday. they had a 450.00 price sticker on it, I kinna figured that it was a price mixup, but didnt matter cause i wanted this pool. so at checkout, when scanned, the price was 890.00, but because it had a price sticker on it for 450, they honored that price......guys i got this pool for way cheaper cause the warehouse messed up. Happy Day for me!!!!

    Nothing wrong with using pavers, infact, it's highly recommended. If you had used a tarp before putting the liner down, you wouldn't have to worry about the liner rubbing up against the paver.
    A lot of people also use foamboard on the ground aswell.

    Great job everyone. Use a collar of concrete around the pool to stabilize the sand. This is a common practice used for paver patios with a sand base. You can mix it in a wheel barrel and just form it to the edge. Its probably less expensive than the metal gardening edges.

    I also love the new connection system, no more stupid plastic pins!
    I was also confused when I got to setting up those dawg gon’ holes on the legs that connect to the t-bar, I'm glad you mentioned them, I just faced them toward the pool (but I honestly don't think it matters), the water of the weight should keep everything in place. Thanks for the video!

    Great job!!! Honestly I have leveled 5 of these pools including my own- put 1” thick small pavers under the legs!! I can’t emphasize this enough, they don’t have to be huge but just enough to be under the foot and stick out about 3 inches, the pool won’t hit the bottom of the peg and it won’t suck the leg in so out just enough so that it doesn’t touch the liner.. Wish I could post a pic of mine to show you

    We have an Intex pool with the sand filter. We made the mistake of putting the legs on the sand and it started raining and the pool overflowed and eroded the sand, so we had to put pavers underneath the legs to keep the pool standing. We did have to put the pavers under the legs after the pool was already full or we would have collapsed the pool. Hopefully we won’t have a problem this year. My husband had some Naval duck tape about 6-8 inches wide and he taped some heavy plastic around the bottom of the pool. This is the second season we will be using the pool, so far so good.

    • @The5MFamily
      @The5MFamily  Год назад

      Yes, we are seeing some eroding around the legs as well. However, the plan is the lay black plastic down soon, and do a border around the pool. Hopefully that will keep the sand compacted. Fingers crossed.

    • @karendakel2456
      @karendakel2456 Год назад +2

      I agree…. you must put pavers under the legs just make it level with the sand so that the edge of the paver doesn’t rub up against the liner. Otherwise you’re gonna have big problems when you have heavy rains.

      I knew someone would catch that. Haha. So, here is my short answer. When I did the top 5 video, I hadn't done alot of research as to how to put the pavers under the legs BUT I knew it would be a good idea. Last summer my parents put pavers under their legs, and as expected the pavers rubbed holes into the liner. So, when I did my most recent video I said pavers weren't a good idea. THEN, I did some research and saw most people bury the pavers flush with the top if the sand, therefore they never touch the liner. This is BRILLANT. Now, I am eating crow and wishing we had laid pavers down. Haha. Thanks for being so kind when asking. ❤

    I just bought an above ground pool for my grandson vinyl 10x10x3. Question what chemicals do you put in the water now that I filled it up? A pool starter kit? Also the pool came with a small filter is that filter going to be adequate or do I need to buy a bigger one?

    • @The5MFamily
      @The5MFamily  Год назад +1

      For that size pool, that filter should be plenty. Just keep the filters clean. As far starting the pool, buy a clorox pool testing kit. Not the strips. The only 2 chemicals I use to start my pool is liquid chlorine and PH down. Test you water, and you will probably see zero chlorine, and your PH is high. Add 1/4 gallon of the chlorine and a 1/4 cup of PH Down to start. Let your pump run for a several hours, then check your levels again. Add more if needed of either. Small amounts to start. Make sure you run your pump for several hours each time you add chemicals, Also, keep a chlorine bobber full at all times.
      Hope this helps! If you have anymore questions feel free to message me through FB. I'm happy to help. ❤

      If you ordered it within the last 30 days. Bestway will send the part no charge. It is a bit of a hassle to deal with them though. If you will send me a message through Facebook, I can send you a link from Amazon for the part. It will be easier and quicker.

    Hey, just watched your video, enjoyed it and just subscribe to your channel. We just put this exact pool up yesterday with a sand base. Now I’m reading about possible moles being an issue and maybe we should have used a gorilla pad or some kind of pad over the sand. Didn’t see you guys do this, was just wondering your thoughts? Thank you
