Ngl I thought it was a scam a year ago until someone from my road won a Bentley continental ever since then that car has been staring me in the face like (this is real you can win too) xd.
Awww well done mate. A proper detailed explanation and how the game works. I’ve always wanted to know what happens when more than one person get the same winning coordinates. So yuh get banned for a year after winning. Again, you’ve answered one of my other questions.
We should also mention the Lifestyle comp that is just a multiple choice question. Sometimes it can be tricky but most of the time it's pretty straight forward. Some great prizes on offer or cash alternative. I haven't won anything yet but always feel hopeful and never play if I can't afford it on a particular week ! Nice video. Thanks and congratulations :)
@@flipmode1237 If you spot the ball withing the target zone the odds are something like 1 in 1,200,000. Sounds good but compared to the prize on offer value and the amount spent it isn't great odds. Still worth a shot if you have a few excess funds. The prize money has gone down over the last year as well. The free petrol for life is not available any longer unless you pay extra
It is internally fixed in my opinion. You need to analyse it carefully over many games to realise that. I have been playing it sometime ago but I stopped because of that reason. They don't fix it all the time but the judges try to avoid the main cluster of coordinates. If they do select the most obvious coordinate, the company will lose money if you study their business model. The rule is, if the ball's position is easier to judge, then never select a coordinate from the most obvious area.
WTF are you babbling about? It *doesn't matter* where they choose to place the winning co-ordinates, whether "obvious" or improbable - they STILL have to give away the main prize and the same number of runner up prizes EVERY time regardless, even if no-one gets it exactly 🙄
@@peterpiper5064 your right that they only give away 1 car but the amount of money they give back in credit can change things significantly. The scam could be reducing the amount of credit they give back to people. I play 2 cars every week so if I got zone 1 on both tickets then I get 100% of my money back and they don't make any money from me for the next week. If I get zone 3 because a judge was way off then I have to pay. It's lost revenue rather than them being directly out of pocket. Not sure how many tickets they sell each week but it must be 100k or more. Even a judge being slightly off would get them £20k+ more each week.
@@jonnyleslie1 They're a publicly traded company on The Stock Exchange and this year's revenue was £46 million! You would say it's not a scam because you won. The only way this couldn't be a scam is if the pixel is identified and ratified in advance of people playing the game. Not judged after.
I ve said this before but: BOTB is definitely not a scam. However, i get the impression that a lot of people think that skill accounts for a lot when it comes to playing it. Its just my opinion but i personally think it doesnt. If it did people would find ways to abuse it, but you only have to look at a few past winners to understand that this is not the case. All kinds of people win week in and week out which is exactly what BOTB wants. I guess what i am trying to say is that the judging system is not going to change for the better ... ever and no matter how good are you at picking the coordinates in relation to the original position of the ball the odds will always be against you.
@Spanish John Well sort of .. The problem here is that BOTB advertises itself as a 'game of skill' which it isnt because of what you said above. A case could be made that they are lying. ... But yeah good luck with that ...
It is a legitimate company with a clever business model, it was even floated on the stock market, it’s simple economics, they make much more than they spend on prices!
@@hayypapi4281 have you tried recently, a Lamborghini Huracan Evo is £4.85 and you can win the car and £50k, prices now are much better. I play about once a month, have come close on a couple of occasions but I don’t bet or play the lottery that much so this is just a bit of fun for me 😁
Questionable sometimes like when the DeLorean came out and somone won it that week and also the 500 special what ever it was when he won the Lamborghini etc etc but people will always say it’s a scam until they win I guess
It kinda makes sense that when a rare car is on offer most people will play for it that week. So the odds of it being the car that's won are higher than any other car. I played for the Delorean even though I'm not really a fan because I knew it'd most likely be the car that's won that week.
I’d be interested to know, on average how many tickets a person buys for each competition. You said that you bought/buy an average of 15 to 20 tickets each time. Even if you only average the price of each ticket at £2 (which I think is probably well below average based on the fact some of the cars are around £5-6 a ticket) that would equate to £30-£40 a time. I don’t know about other people but I certainly can’t afford to spend that much a time on tickets. The most I can afford to spend is around £5-£6 (usually 5 tickets) which means the chances of me winning are slim to none. On that basis people who have got the money to spare are more likely to win. I may as well pack it in now
They have over a million players now from a few year back which means if a million put on an average of ten pounds on they are potentially raking in £10m every week !
I've got an older iPad, an IPad 4, its far harder to play the game on that, especially if you prefer the old original method where you just place a cross, the newer system uses the players eye line etc which doesn't work too well on the older iPad for me. The BOTB app doesn't support older devices, I find the system crashes all the time if you try and choose the old method on my iPad. Don't fancy buying a new iPad just to play this game. I didn't realise you would be banned from playing for a year if you win either!
I won'e lie I used to go for the most expensive cars before realizing the real value of money, then I started going for my actual dream car and I've said to this day if I win my dream car plus the extra cash so 20-50k I'd split the cash prize in half spare some for the future and use the other for the present. When the time comes round when I can take part again in dream car, use the other half of money for the comps I feel like I can win but on an expensive car simple really
I was lined up vertically perfect and was just one pixel down from the winner. 10k difference in vehicles we picked so close and gutted. So out of interest I looked how they judged it. NOW also if a draw it goes to second closest if a draw! Just venting 😆 didn't know it wasn't computer picked. Last go for me with my £ 2.20 win then I'm jacking in it.
