As a providence native, I will state that everybody who is complaining about this video and the food prep.. hot Weiners in olnyville is one of the best culinary experiences one can have. Not only is the food the bomb, but the customer service is awesome and entertaining.

As much as I'm an Alton Fan, but Sarah makes this show ever better.
He started featuring her just enough, and at just the right time. It doesn't feel forced, and the show is still AB's.
I swear, if Alton doesnt start showing Sarah some respect I'm going to stop watching.
I really miss these things. I live in Nebraska and every time I go back to Rhode Island/Mass to visit relatives I have to get a bunch of them. I wish they sold them outside of Rhode Island. How come the Chicago Dog has caught on everywhere, but not the far superior Hot Weiner? :(

If you were born and raised in New England, the only thing you add ketchup to is french fries. You're clearly not eating a half-decent hot dog or burger if it actually needs ketchup. Have a bite first and then decide instead of slopping it on as the inner dogma insists.

Yes Lucas is just a very unique guy in how and his shoe which really centers around what Alton is doing going to "cheap eats" dining on a dome or local places that should be recognized as having some of the best food in the area. But Alton has achieved so much so I don't think it's even imaginable to compare the two

Gloves are not for sanitary but to avoid your hand to get soaked all day by the condiments. Practically every food you can eat in any restaurant have been touched by a human.

Not true at all. Take a food safety course, such as servsafe where i got my food safety manager certification.. You can't touch RTE food with your bare hands, it's against regulations.

I know I’m 3 years late on this reply, but it’s “Olneyville New York System”. They have two locations of the same name. One is in the city of Cranston, and the other is in the Olneyville section of Providence. The Cranston spot is ok, but you can’t beat the original spot in Providence.

Olneyville is awesome but you can get good weiners in other places in RI. Also, MALT VINEGAR ON FRIES. I hate when diners only have white vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is okay I guess.

Its made differently so its a wiener. I think most people associates a cylindrical meat warp in a bun as a hot dog.
Believe it or not that is actually tradition here in RI. It's also kind of a running joke that each N.Y. System has a different taste depending on the fore arm.

I guess it's personal preference. I like the natural casing dogs at lafayette. Are you one of those guys that can't like stuff that's really popular? I don't run across many folks that love coneys that say lafayette isn't a good dog. Particularly their loose coney is just on another level.

You can only get this in Providence??? WRONG !!! East Providence, Warwick, Pawtucket, Rumford, Seekonk, Mass are just some of the other places.
I drink ACV for health sometimes but literally never put it on anything. Might try it on fries like that but it's disgusting in my opinion.

Am a 70 year resident of Rhode Island...there are hot weiner joints everywhere. Most
of these restaurants have the words "New York Style" or "New York System" somewhere
in their name. The interesting thing is, when talking to someone from NYC, they never
have any idea what NY style/NY system weiners are. Most don't know what weiners are
PERIOD!
There's no way they NY still makes their dogs with beef, pork and veal....
I see all these shows about various Hot Dog placed. Many on the Food Network. I remember a show on the History Channel called American Eats: History on a Bun. In one episode they went to a number of different Hot Dog places. And yet none of them have been to the most famous Hot Dog place in the world Tony Packo's! Does no one Remember MASH? Yes it is a Real place, back then they was one, now they have four restaurants, of various types. Why do so many pretend this place does not exist?
Best weiners in the world!! I take mine "Everything but sauce," which comes out as onion, spicy mustard, dash of celery salt. The sauce is good, but not on the weiner. LOVE NY System!!

Not sure but Zweigle's pop open's from Rochester NY look's like it puts those to shame. If I ever move from here I'll need a hotdog mule to get me them or I'll go into withdrawal. I think they do ship them by order online if you never tried one DO SO, natural casing hotdogs are awesome!

This fake news, Metro Detroit is the only place to get the original "hot dogs" with chili. We call them coney dogs. The best ever. Lafayette or American coney island in downtown Detroit is where to get the original "chili dog".
