Join us this week for first, a quick three-minute journey as we reflect on our thrilling Bay of Biscay crossing and then venture into the enchanting town of Moana in Northern Spain. Who are we?
We are a family of three with three dogs - Chris, Daria & Jasper. We have two Golden Retrievers and a Bernese Mountain Dog - Hachi, Luna and Meems who sail with us. Sailing with dogs has its challenges, but we would not have it any other way.
We have been sailing the coasts of Scotland for the last few years, enjoying each and every Scottish island, nook and cranny.
In spring of 2023 we have moved aboard Ragdoll and left Scotland for the warmer climates of the Mediterranean. There is no set route or plan. We will go where the wind and life take us.
We sail on a 1995 Gib’Sea 472 which has undergone a huge refit over the last couple of years. We made her our own and now… we’re off on an adventure!

Thank you, that’s really great to hear. We love sharing our travels and it’s a fantastic memory for us too. We have filmed much more over the last few weeks & are in the process of editing. Hopefully we will get a little more consistent! 😅
Well that was a surprise, I just came across this video as I watch loads of sailing videos and who should paddle board upto the boat but Chris Dowie !!! Holy moley ! Congrats on the marriage, the boat, the bairns both fluffy and not lol 😂 looks like you’re all having a ball !!!! (Ps it’s David McGuire)

Great to see you had a good Bay of Biscay crossing! Have you had any issues from officials with your dogs?
It was an absolute pleasure!
No issues but we did have their AHCs checked in A’Coruna and we got them Spanish passports when we were there so they’re free to travel now 🙂
