Go for at least 3 shades of grey. Cool greys are great for shadows, warm greys for more natural environment in general. I'd say CG2, 4, 6 should be enough contrast for buildings. And pick a shade darker with the warms. Like WG3, 5, 7. I'd also like to know the title of the video 😁
Not as translucent as tracing, I would call it a layout paper, so you can see through it if you have a line work underneath but not completely translucent. It is very good for layouts.

Is Canson XL Series Marker Paper Acid free? Did not see anything on the pad.
Not I don’t think so, marker tends to fade with time, sketches must be kept away from direct sunlight other wise will fade out quickly

What brand alcoholic markers do you use
I use copic, prismacolor, promarker
