It took us years to build up to this size. If you are interested in starting your own for this season, there is a lot of information and tutorials online about the program we use (xLights) and how to build the props. There is also an xLights support group on Facebook that has a wealth of information and guidance on there.
Do you know where I can watch the Episode that your house was on. I’ve looked at a few streaming services and none of them have season 7. Also how many pixels are you running?

Usually these Pixels don't consume much power as they run on 12v DC and few such show runners have videos where they shared, they don't get any steep increase on their power bills.
I run a smaller show and did the math last year. Running from 5 to midnight used about as much electricity as one batch of cookies in the oven. LED's are VERY efficient, and even better at night when it doesn't take much light to be seen.

My dad finally agreed to do it next year and we’ve already got a falcon controller, raspberry pi, and an FM transmitter and I’ve been working on xlights and getting familiar with the program. @@BraydenWood-v1j Actually, we have amazingly supportive neighbors and we get very few complaints. We stopped the show for a year and the majority were extremely upset. They enjoy being able to walk over and enjoy the show whenever they like. We also put great effort into reducing the traffic on the neighborhood with a specific drive up route and we stand outside nightly to direct the traffic.

I am not sure on the count. I would need to look.We have 2 matrix P5 panels with about 50k pixels each.

Surprising, not that much. It is actually less than when we used to have traditional lights on all evening.
