This is probably one of the steepest money chains I've seen in any version. Teams weren't likely to win anything substantial unless they were able to answer 6-8 answers correctly and bank strategically.
While I do enjoy Asha's tough talk, I suspect audiences in Singapore were turned off in the same way as Hong Kong audiences were in the initial five episodes of Carol being mean. Asha yelled more than sometimes necessary (even with her generic lines of starting and ending rounds). She reminds me of Louise Wallace in NZ. However, you can be bitchy and sarcastic without having to shout or yell. (And yes I know that because this was an early episode, the BBC likely was still supervising). I'm not saying this to be critical, but these might have played into why the show didn't last very long here.
This money chain is the most ludicrous chain that ever existed on any WL version. Both English and Chinese Singaporean WLs were cancelled after one series. Which was the case in a lot of countries unfortunately. Even some European versions like Denmark or Norway or Belgium didnt survive the first series. I quite regret that.
@@luuckdroste8745 The Danish version is the only one of those you listed that I think it's a pity didn't get another season or two. Audiences must not have taken too kindly to the format, as the show appeared heavily invested in (pretty nice studio with an audience), and Trine seemed fairly competent as host. The Norwegian version must have been an extremely limited run due the scarcity of footage available, and the Belgian version....well, if it had a host who liked her job a little more, it could have lasted longer.
@@sunshineguy85 Norweigian version is the first version implement with fully automatic computer control camera short.That means no camera man in the set.After the DR1 has finish the show,they give the set to a danish company BlueBox ,which end up with Norwegian and Estonia version as well.Both version not setup an the audiences seat.
The show got cancel in norway not only viewer not like it but also the host think it promote bad behaviour to people.

This is the second version of the Singaporean version of "Weakest Link" in English after the Chinese version of the same country.
Redza, Tor, Gary, Hirman, Cher Kiat, Arthur, Binhao, & Kian Leong are the 8 players competing on this third episode of the Singaporean version of "Weakest Link" (in English).

One of the questions is incorrect. They ask what state is Washington DC in. It’s not in a state. That’s why it has the suffix of DC which stands for district of Columbia. But it is not within any state with an United States. Is it is it only thing.
