With the popularity of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" happening at the time, NBC decided to produce an American version of "Weakest Link", but in weekly primetime, and with a possible top prize of a million dollars. They even managed to get Anne Robinson herself to Burbank, California to present the show. While the show did alright at first, one thing that likely brought the ratings down was airing too many celebrity specials. A five-a-week daytime version would air soon after the primetime show was cancelled, but with a different host. That would only last one season.

Twenty years ago would be amazing! I was healthy then. Since then I have been through cancer, with devastating,long lasting effects. One great thing about surviving is, I have two beautiful granddaughters and a grandson plus my four children, which includes my daughter-in-law and son-in-law. They have been around long enough to be like a son and daughter to me. Family is the most important thing to me. ❤️🌹❤️

A lot of very bright contestants on this one, particularly the scouse lady and the Scotish lady with the glasses. Serious temper tantrum when she got voted off though.

Biggest shock I've seen on any episode of this. Anne should've won but there were at least 5 other players better than Andrew. Anne's tantrum after being voted off was understandable but a bit sulky. Also interesting that the format was a little different with the step forward in the final round and none of the banter between the host and contestants that added to the fun later.
