  • How to replace the worn faded fabric on your door cards. Change it to something fresh and new. Cheap and easy can easily do in a few hours. All you need is some contact adhesive and a trip to your local fabric store.
Apologies for the 4:3 aspect ratio.

been watching a bunch of videos like this was well done. tips for anyone watching this with intent of replicating it.
    1. if you get your original material off clean enough to make a template iron it out first optionally using starch to make it more rigid
    2. if using a synthetic material as a replacement you can heat up a small copper tube or a hard brake line and use that to cut out your screw holes so they don't fray and have less chance of being twisted up by the screws. if using a natural material drill the hole out using something as a backer then use a contact adhesive like super glue to harden the edges and prevent fraying

That ended looking so sleek. Really need to do this eventually to my car. Great how-to.

Great walk through mate! From the video footage anyway it looks like it turned out pretty good and its definitely inspired me to do it on mine as soon as I can source some replacement door cards as well that aren't cracked. You're definitely not wrong; I'm in Melbourne too and trying to source the manual non power window ones and they're so hard to come by.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing the idea of the drill bit and self tapping screws! Do you know what drill bit size you used? Others were using a soldering iron to melt the panel off, but I like your way better. Cheers!

No worries mate thanks for the feedback. I might have been a 6mm drill bit.
