I've become pretty good at figure modulation over the years, to the point where I can sculpt entire arms and legs; but I enjoy learning from videos like yours, I am going to use the yogurt foil technique .

Nice to see these ancient techniques in a modern video.
In this way, the knowledge about it is not finally lost in the age of "you just have to reach for the shelves".
However, the helmets do not want to fit on the heads at all, at least for my eyes. They sit considerably too high as the heads are quite simply too large in proportion to these Tamiya figures, giving a rather ridiculous overall impression.
I'm not saying that to badmouth the figures in any way, as they undoubtedly get a definite upgrade here. To avoid such dimensional pitfalls, I just prime the assembled figures in a medium grey at first and then view them from a distance in low light. Since one primarily perceives the outlines, proportional errors or unrealistic poses immediately catch the eye.
    Thx for sharing.

Thank you for your intervention. Some facts: 1. The Hornet heads are too big. It is true, but i spent 22€ for 2 sets of heads, and I will not be throwing them away, that is for shure. :D 2. The helmets are to high, mostly because of the patafix wich was used to hold them togeather for the final shoot. 3. I will trimm the heads before painting and adjust this for sure. You are not the only one that noticed this, so I will try to fix this for sure. Anyway, I love your constructive criticism, is the only way to improove in our hobby. Hope to see you arround on the channel... :D

I always used tape for straps but now I’ve found a different way!! I can’t wait to try it out!
A quick detail I add to helmets is to add the texture to them. I take tamiya filler and mix it with extra thin until it’s a little thicker then water and dab it on the helmets with a stiff bristled brush. You wouldn’t think it would add much but it does.

Very nice video. I like your humoristic way of telling things. The helmets in my opinion are still sitting a bit to high on the head. What is your experience with chopping of a bit of the scalps of the hornet heads to fit into the helmets?

Your meticulous attention to detail is great! Two suggestions?:1) if you have a running figure the boot on the ground should be bent so the toe of the shoe is on the ground and the heel is slightly raised from the ground.2) Some of the helmets appear to be sitting too high on the head. If you look at photos of helmeted German soldiers you'll see that for the most part their ears are not visible. Hope I didn't offend you. I taught modeling the human figure so maybe I'm too picky?
