The shoe thing started due to a skateshop that was close to one of those lines. Whenever a skater bought new shoes they threw their old worn out shoes on the line. I think there might have been a discount if they do it first try but only sure about the first fact :D
i am from Flensburg and there are many rumors about the origins of the Shoes on the lines, but the most common story would be if young people, couples, lose their "innocence" in a positive way they throw their shoes up the line hehe
