I watched a lot of videos and most of them are two or more years old. This is a great video. Although I have the X3, this was exactly what I needed to see
I installed mine the same way you did, but I noticed on some other videos there are two silver color relays that are installed on the ground side of the Solenoid. Is there a reason you didn't install them? Everything works perfectly just want to make sure. The video was awesome, it saved me a lot of time. Thanks!
I am having a problem with the Auxiliary power wire. It is not coming out like your video is showing, it feels like it is attached to something and I don't want to yank on the wire like you did, because it does not come down. I pull hard and it does not budge. Have you heard about this?
In the last part of the video after the clips. You put the remote control wire harness in a hole and secured with bolts. What is that rubber cap? In the video it looks like the cap is removable for some reason.
I'm at the last stage of install and I've wired up my corded remote the way you did it, green in C, black in B and red in A but I just noticed the online BRP instructions tell you to switch around the black and red. Another video on RUclips does it that way also. What should I do? I don't have the tool to take out the 2 wires. I just want to make sure it's not going to wreck anything.
Looks like I may have made a mistake no it will not cause any damage the buttons will just go the opposite way I would switch them and put green in B and black and see if possible
Oh OK I see what happened there are two sets of instructions one is for the Can-Am HD 4500 pound winch and one is for the warn VRX winch 4500 pound I was using the Warn instructions The Can-Am HD instructions do it the opposite way
@@Maxsmotoshop oh ok 👍. Np. I just ended up leaving it the way I had it and you were right it's just out is in and in is out. I don't have the special tool to take both wires out so I will probably just re label it. Much easier and quicker. I also found it easier to wire it from the inside and out through the rubber boot and down to the winch. That reminds me I forgot to re zip tie the rubber boot. Lol.
Definitely a common problem. There are two different kits for this machine and the wiring can be confusing. I think I got lucky. Personally, I would leave the remote rarely gets used or you’ll have to switch the two outside wires I believe

I followed the directions for the kit that I was provided. Sometimes I use them sometimes they don’t. They are kind of unnecessary anyways.👍
great step by step, didn't miss a thing!
Thank you👍

Do you have a part number and does the winch include all the hardware and wiring? Thank you. Great tutorial.
No, the winch does not include the wiring.
Which winch is that bc all the can am ones I’m looking at the hookups are on the passenger side
Excellent video. Where are you located? I need my winch installed on my 2022 maverick sport xxc 1000r and I'm in Ontario Canada.
I’m over in British Columbia would be a little bit of a drive lol
Great tutorial.

Good review thanks dude
Thanks for the support👍

Remote is backwards, in is out and out is in. Dashboard switch is correct. Any suggestions?

Do you have a link to the winch, hardware, and wiring harnesses?
