Houses. Institutions. Fire. The red room. Michael Vale’s beautiful set design of Jane Eyre makes ‘the ardent nature of the book flares into life.’ (The Guardian)
A National Theatre co-production with Bristol Old Vic, based on the classic novel by Charlotte Brontë, directed by Sally Cookson and devised by the original company.

At the National Theatre in London, we make world-class theatre that is entertaining, challenging and inspiring. And we make it for everyone.
National Theatre Live is National Theatre’s ground-breaking project to broadcast the best of British theatre to cinemas in the UK and internationally.
Bristol Old Vic is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English-speaking world. Built in Bristol, for Bristol.
Jane Eyre was filmed live on-stage in 2015 by National Theatre Live.
I loved the set design because it actually needed the cooperation of the viewer to imagine and recreate the spaces in the play.
The window parts were beautiful, especially the one shown with the gusting wind.
I have such fond memories of this play! At first, I was quite sceptical about the set design, but it was so creatively done and added a great dynamic and atmosphere. The fire was cool too!

So cool drama is

A great play The actors performed well Excellent I want to ask you about the music in the show Where can I find it to hear?
I really enjoyed the set of this production; there's often so much pressure to compete with film and be "realistic" in the theatre, where often--as is the case here--it's a much better creative choice to go impressionistic.
Am I the only one here who is meant to write an essay on this so just copied down what they are saying
Im also with that struggle now
I took preforming arts for my GCSE
