    This entire process is so overwhelming. I get so much anxiety about reaching out to attorneys (last attempts were in January). I keep replaying everything that's happened to me at this company but get so anxious retelling the situation to every attorney I'd talk to. Not really a question this time, but I feel like I'm on my own island.
    P.S. my condolences Vince 💔

      Maybe write it down and reach out through email with a generic email with the gist of some of the main issues.

      @@soufwesthoustontx That's a great idea. I find that once I tell them my former employer, that's when the interest leaves and they think they won't win.

      @@sheabutta5425 I don't think whether you are still employed or not matters as long as you have valid claims. The hard part is as regular people we don't often know the legal claims of a case to explain what went wrong. So we overshare parts that may not be important and underhsare parts that may be important when seeking an attorney. I think writing it out and tuning your experience to key points and doing a little research on the violations will help you put something suitable together to find an attorney. If you still can't find one you will at least be in the right direction to pursue your claims on your own.

      @@soufwesthoustontx For clarification, I've spoken with several attorneys who think I have a valid case. They just clam up once I say who the former employer was and don't want to fight against them. Thank you again for the idea. Much appreciated.

    Thanks for the video. We are back to negotiating and I think it was either "annoyance" or "maybe they will take it." I wish I could divulge the details because it is a very strange and unusual situation which involved more than a few potential plaintiffs. Mediation is a great idea - I know it's on the table.

    Why would anyone be afraid to go to trial? It sounds like an exciting and eventual experience of a lifetime that you will likely never be in again. Lawyers go to trial all the time, most normal folk might never actually have a legitimate reason to ever do that in their entire life.

    • @hmrobert7016
      @hmrobert7016 20 дней назад

      The massive expense involved in staging a trial, the fact that it can take 4 years to get there, and the risk that you could have a great case but still lose based on the whims of the jury.

    If a complaint is in settlement talks in regards of retaliation (based on prior discrimination settlement), can that be tool for affirming the 495k demand? Or do you recommend over valuing the demand for room for negotiation? You provide a great service, with a great channel

    Vince it’s me again question let’s say my previous employer just been bought out by another company they are closing 600 stores plus just got done with a 40 million dollar lawsuit against them and finally about to reopen the location they sued for what are the odds of them being willing to pay out at least 6 figures to not risk this case going public or would they even care at this point?

    How do plaintiffs know there isn't any type of skullduggery going on if their attorney does not cc them or provide them any written correspondence between them and defendants. I haven't seen anything. Nothing. Case has gone fromm EEOC to the state and now at so called settlement that has stalled for 3months and no word or correspondence from the ahole attorney whatsoever.

    Sometimes employers shoot themselves on the foot because of the thought of saving some pennies at the expense of an employee health or well-being. vince how much more can a big company be found liable for if let's say it is a popular retail store. Let say dunno Bloomingdale or one of its partner companies. only because it is based out of New York where you practice law

    I currently have an discrimination charge filed against a former employer. Do you do consultations?

    • @JobAttorney
      @JobAttorney  25 дней назад

      We certainly do, we are happy to schedule consultations for workplace discrimination and workplace sexual harassment matters in all 50 Stars, but we do always recommend you check your local options first. As a national firm, we are flying attorneys around the country and so we are generally more expensive than your local options.
