I grew up on the great music of the 60's-70's. CCR has always been one of my favorites. They don't have a bad song! John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. All their songs are great - "Proud Mary", "Born On The Bayou", "Bad Moon Rising", "Lodi", "Green River", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Fortunate Son", "Cotton Fields", "Midnight Special", "Travelin' Band", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Up Around the Bend", "Run Through The Jungle", "Lookin' Out My Back Door", "Long As I Can See the Light", "Suzie Q", "I Put A Spell On You", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.

@@SarahDengler Hey Sarah! Dagmar S did a great job pointing out many of the band's amazing hits, and you will love them! I just wanted to add that one of their greatest songs fits into the category listed as etc. and it is "Someday Never Comes". As a parent this song will really hit home to you and your family! God bless you, Sarah!

creedence is probably the most underappreciated and underrated 60s band. they had hit after hit. including the standards "proud mary" and "fortunate son." the critics hated them but the public loved them. they appeared at woodstock too. (cut out of the film and the album though. as a few other bands were.) CCR invented country rock and they don't even get credit for that.
on the album "cosmos factory" (1970) this song was over 11 minutes long. with a wonderful, kick ass guitar solo that lasts about 8 minutes long. the record label shortened the song to about 3 1/2 minutes and released it as a single against the band's wishes.
CCR remains one of my favorite bands. side two of their album "bayou country" is one of the best album sides in r&r history.

For me this is the number one version of "I heard it trough the Grapevine" 💯
John Fogerty´s voice is outstanding! More "CCR and John Fogerty" reaction video!
I wish the next year winner, of the Polar Music Prize is "John Fogerty".
I have suggested 4 musicians to the Polar Music Prize Jury 1. "John Fogerty"
    2. "Mark Knopfler" 3. "David Coverdale" 4. "Joan Baez"
Suggestion: "Tina Turner - I heard it trough the Grapevine" (Live)👍
Thanks Sarah! For a great Creedence Clearwater Revival reaction video.🙂

CCR is one of my favorite bands. They have a ton of fantastic material and it's one of those few bands where I literally like every song on every album. In the band that I play in we cover two or three of their songs, always to Great audience response but mostly it just feels so good. And they are all over the map in terms of subject matter, it's fascinating. Every song is different from the other and yet you always know immediately that you are listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Here are some that I think might be great entry points for you:
