Hi, nice video! But the position of your camera is unfortunate since you’re right-handed and we see more of your hand than of the work you do. You should probably experiment with a position facing you and more facing down. There are different options whether you should detach the motherboard or ‘wangle’ the contacts over the pillars like you did. But you managed that allright, although we didn’t see that 😂 Welldone afterall🎉 and is the iPad still working okay? Btw, is this a model A1474? Thanks
Thanks. New battery went right in. I did scratch the screen and get some fingerprints inside but who cares. The ipad is old as dirt and still works fine. It will be nice for a charge to last more than 30 minutes.
Separating the screen might look easy but in reality I found it to be very very difficult and finished up cracking the glass. So do this first before buying the battery.
Apple Store lied to me. Told me that they couldn’t replace my Air2 battery because my machine was obsolete and they couldn’t find a battery for me. They also told me that my Air2 had no value for a trade-in to a new Air6. Odd because I still get software and security updates for my Air2. Why update a device if it’s obsolete? Anyways, I ordered a replacement battery and the tools I’d need from Amazon - $35.00. I did it myself. The gist of the story is, once Apple stops providing updates, I’ll buy a tablet instead.
Apple is destroying our environment with their devices, Basically throw it away when battery goes dead. MAC Books now is very hard to replace the battery, SSD goes or memory sol all soldered in.
I gave up I was afraid to break the battery connection I just couldnt get it out. Really bad design by apple that you cant easily remove the battery. Guess I have to pay for this bs.

A new battery will start up normaly...but for sure charge it!
