Hey Derrick, your videos have helped me install stuff on my own Tc in the past, so I just wanted to say thanks and your hobbies are awesome man, it's cool to get to know ya better. I wish you the best of luck with your business and with your Tc!
@@VampyreX13 That would be nice because my 2014 Scion tc has 77000 miles and I would like to replace it myself but I don’t want make mistakes and I couldn’t find any video about it for the tc Thanks
You either have to find it used or build it yourself. There is a turbo tC2 Facebook group (facebook.com/groups/851713602334308/) you can checkout. I see some parts and info floating around on there.
@@VampyreX13 yea that was it, thanks. hey quick question, i installed the same k&n intake you have but i noticed my mpg has dropped some. But i also put reflective insulation under the engine hood. Do you think thats the cause, maybe its just circulating the hot air in my engine bay? Thanks.
@@pableezie6890 have you changed your driving habits since you installed it, like accelerating a little bit faster or laying on the gas more? You should actually use a little less gas if it's sucking in warmer air because it's going to be less dense than cold air.
I just got my 2016 RS 10.0 and your videos have helped me immensely! It's a shame some of the aftermarket upgrades aren't available these days, but you've been so helpful, informative and thorough with your explanations. Keep up the good work! Sidenote: I've had issues with my S21 overheating as well. Supposedly you can reach out to Samsung and they'll fix it under warranty, but I'm so close to my upgrade period I just decided to wait.
Thank you. And I 've already had to have my S21 wiped after I got the black screen of death and sent in for repairs because of the camera being jittery. Now it overheats. I figured it was because of 5G, which doesn't help, but it still overheats. I'll bring it to the shop when / if I have time.
Glad to hear the hoses holding up. And that they do seap some coolant. My set should arrive today and be installed this weekend. Do the factory hoses seap fluid as well? A while back my coolant was low, I topped it off back to full and have kept an eye on it, haven’t needed to add anymore. Just curious if it’s normal since the car is about 7 years old now.
The factory hoses do not seap fluid, just the silicone ones because they are slightly permeable. As long as you're sure you're not losing coolant through a leak (which it sounds like you're good now), they you should be good to install the HPS hoses.
@@VampyreX13 well just checked the Facebook groups and it was back in 2020 when I first noticed. Just looked at the overflow tank and it’s at the low line from where I had filled it to full. Haven’t seen any smoke from the exhaust or found any indications of leaks. Maybe it’s a normal scion thing?
Hello Derrick, I am looking into a modification for handling, I am currently on trd lowering springs, what would you recommend I do to get the best bang for my buck? I was looking into both Eibach sway bars and trd strut bar.
You need to stick with the pink stuff as it's formulated for Toyota engines. Do not mix your coolant. The stuff I use is amzn.to/3ieHl2s, but you should be able to get it from your local store.
While I doubt your intake is doing a lot of good for your hp but I highly doubt it will get hydrolocked. You would have do do something really crazy. I had a rear mount turbo in an old car for years with an intake about 1 foot from the ground and never had any issues.
I actually get 1-2 psi at highway speeds with it according to my ODB2 scanner, which was a surprise. And yeah, as long as you don't do anything crazy, my intake if fine. There are a couple of cars using my intake system without any issues. Now I have hyrdolocked a car before in the past. Thankfully, I didn't bend or break anything. I was travelling uphill on the road I had in the video, but the rain was torrential with zero visibility. I managed to suck up enough water from the river flowing down the road to stop the engine. It super sucked.
Your options are to find a friend to print it for you, go to a makerspace and print it there, find an online service, or worse case, I can print it and mail it. Finding somewhere local will be the least expensive option. Just make sure you use ASA filament with 100% infill.
It's literally sitting in my video editor right now. I will 100% say it's better than the tune that came with the OV v3 handheld and I haven't even touched my vFTuner since I installed it.
I’ve been looking everywhere for the Yakima roof rack parts and haven’t found them in stock anywhere, can you make new links? Your videos have been killer by the way
It's a completely discontinued item, so you may have to find a lot of these parts used. I will dig around online and see if there are any links I can update.

Bro I have a question, I’ve been having trouble with getting into gear I recently installed a new clutch 3 days ago but it’s hard to get into gear and the reverse doesn’t go in at all
I'm actually experiencing something like that since my new clutch was installed. The shop that installed it didn't experience the issue, but every so often, I can't get it to pop into 2nd unless I pop it into another gear first, then into 2nd. I'm still trying to figure that one out. I do recommend checking all your shift linkage to make sure they aren't getting stuck and that they can freely move on top of the transmission. Shoot me a message on FB or IG if you want my help doing some basic troubleshooting.
I just visited the shop today to go over what's happening when I shift into 2nd, and they said it sounds like the clutch isn't properly disengaging all the time and the input shaft is still spinning when I try to shift it into gear. I have to schedule time to drop the car off there for them to investigate further.
Just found your page while looking for modding options for my 2016 RS10 TC. Interested in any advice about how to proceed. It's totally stock from the dealer but would like to put a little money into it.
Do you want to lean towards engine mods or suspension mods first? If engine, start with the basics and help it breath better with an intake and exhaust. If suspension, I highly recommend starting with the TB Performance mid chassis brace for the best bang for your buck.
I just wanted something different that didn't come off a Subaru or Honda. Lol. You have to set it back as far as possible with a little overhang for it to sit flush.
Just got a 2013 tc a few months back and I'm so thankful to find someone who is still posting videos about them!
