I remember watching these as a kid when I was only 11 years old. At the age of nearly 22 now, it feels unreal to think this was such a long time ago. I used to play with Lego sets all the time, creating battle scenes from the North African campaign using the custom made guns and helmets from Brickarms, which was my treat as a kid to get my hands on. Now I own real rifles and pistols from the time, shooting them for fun, occasionally with these uniforms on. To say you were foundational in my childhood would be an understatement. I love coming back to see these old videos, even though there hasn't been a new one in so long. All the best to you.
That gave me chills man. I used to sit on the couch watching these videos with my best friend almost every day during elementary school. Now I’m almost 19 and just bought my first matching K98k rifle, and I still come back to pay respects to the animators sparked my passion all those years ago. Edit: and of course ole’ JS inspired me to do my own animations as well. I gotta give credit for that.
I feel you man, I watched these videos as a kid and I always wanted to create my own battle scene like this one, unfortunately I never had enough legos to make a town or even a tank. But I also got the brickarms weapons and helmets for my minifigs. In fact I think I still have them to this day. It's hard to believe that this video is 11 years old.

Hello from Switzerland! I just wanted to say that your films have inspiried me so much and have helped me over the course of my sekundarschule years and I got an A+ and even a teacher recomendation because of a ww2 moc inspired by your work!
it took me month of work to make 6 min WW2 video... This video is longer... with adding afteraffects I suppose it took about 2 month if he didn't make any long pauses. Imho.
Just checked your channel - watched "the battle". Your animation is pretty good. Yiu just need to increase a little fps in your video. In 1 second should be at least 10, better 12, best of all 15 frames per second. Your camera is not shaking, animation is pretty good - so I don't see the reason why you can't shoot longer videos! Increase fps + close all windows and use lamps for lightning - helps to avoid light jumping. And you need a place to build your backstage for a long time.
send part of my answer )) So increase fpc, lamps and you need a place to build your scene - houses, street or whatever and you make 5 seconds today, then leave everything untouched and come back tomorrow to make new 5-7 seconds... If you need to break your street and to build it from the beggining every day before shooting your vid - then it's a hell!
I think this was WW1, that's when the US became friends with the Nazis, one nazi asked, "do you want a cigar?" Said the German in perfect English, a US soldier went to get a cigar, he said "sure....". Believe it or not, the nazi gave the Captain a cigar, then they both started playing soccer, 3 Nazis, 3 US soldiers, started playing soccer. The game ended and they had to start fighting again. This was a true story.
Lol I think it's John Basilone from The Pacific. He was yelling that on Okinawa at American soldiers who were too afraid to move during the battle. It was very chaotic.
Hilariously enough, it was actually "Get the Hell out of the Street" from Band of Brothers, during their assault on Carentan when mortar rounds (I think) were targeting the town, one of them said that phrase.
I agree! I mistaked 'street' with 'beach'. Thanks for clearing it up- Lipton was sure fortunate, not losing the lower half of his body to that explosion in Carentan.
Wow your are that picky? There is not much of a difference between m3s and m5s. They both have 35 inches of armor, the m3 is only 3.9 tons heavier in a power/weight ratio, the m5 has 100 miles for range and the m3 has 75 miles only a small difference. Get over it man.
no, no! You should try! It's fun! It's like you become a magician - on the screen you can move objects without hands! ))) Don't try to make a long video - first try to make 3-5 sec video for example of moving car. You will like it ))
