everyone says akame is the main character when akame means red eyes and the name akame ga kill means red eyed killer and if you read the manga you'll notice how tatsumis eyes turned red cause of his incursio evolution therefore he could also be a red eyed killer actually sad they left this awsome detail out of the anime
Akame is still technically the main character because isn’t she the only one who survives out of the group or something also she cut herself with the one hit kill sword and stayed alive I think that means she has the main character god mode perk active
Give it the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood treatment, keep both series, but with different canons. Anime canon with the original anime series, and manga canon with the manga and the "Brotherhood" version.

I always thought Akame was a dishonorable way of calling her a turtle.
Actually, it means Akame Slashes. Yes, Akame means "red eyes" but her sister is named Kurome (Black eyes) and 斬 (the kanji of Kiru) means slash.

A series that needs a reboot. So disappointing when they skipped over the Wild Hunt Arc.
I agree. It would of made the anime so much better.
Best to go and read it yourself. Warning: Not for the faint of heart. That arc had some of the darkest sh#t one could imagine.
