6 - Busted
Carlos Mejia from Queens, New York, decided he had had enough of local thieves targeting his deliveries. In a clever stunt to nab a thief, he set up decoy packages outside his door-knowing well that many porch pirates don't consider the commonality of doorbell cameras these days.
5 - She Thought It Was Fun
Amber McCann from Palm Coast, Florida, was arrested at a local Walmart after swiping a cartful of goods valued at $1,000. Casually admitting to the deed, she humorously claimed she was merely playing a game she seemingly just made up called '21'-a challenge to shoplift as much as possible without getting caught. Which is somehow different from ordinary shoplifting?
4 - Simply Greed
Martin Mizrahi, the CEO of Las Vegas internet service provider, LV.net, was convicted for his involvement in a shocking credit card fraud and money laundering operation. This businessman, who loved showing off his luxury life online, found himself in serious trouble after a 12-day trial in Manhattan federal court.
3 - The Pretend Cop
Evelyn Ibarra-Fernandez from West Lake Hills, Texas, found herself in big trouble after pulling a fast one by pretending to be a cop and trying to rob three women. She ended up charged with impersonating a public servant, a third-degree felony. Things kicked off with a 911 call about reckless driving. The caller reported seeing a woman in the backseat of a car, apparently under the influence, frantically waving down passersby for help.
2 - Cruising to Jail
Lexus Moorer, a 31-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, was arrested in Miami for funding a lavish family vacation with eight stolen credit cards. Her extravagant spending spree included booking two staterooms on the Oasis of the Seas, a luxury Royal Caribbean cruise ship, for a week-long Caribbean cruise costing an insane $22,400.
1 - The Coverup
Kirsty Williams, a teaching assistant from the UK, got herself tangled up in an insurance scam when her then-boyfriend, Ryan Lowe, crashed her car while trying to outrun the police. Kirsty falsely reported her Peugeot 108- basically a UK version of a Ford Fiesta- stolen after Ryan ditched the car in the bushes and vanished into the night. - Наука

I don’t get why porch pirates still wanna steal packages when there is a camera pointing RIGHT at them. They can see it right there. WHY do it?!! It don’t make no sense.
